Mid-May

Yes, it is officially mid-May. Already.
Wow!
Yesterday I got accomplished some of those things I need to check off this week. And today, they'll be a few more.
I really don't like weeks that feel like all you are doing is checking off things.
So instead, take me to my happy place.
Been working on my Arizona scrap-journal quite a bit lately. Here's some more pages.
I love this page. I used watercolor paper for the background and then this great clock paper from 7Gypsies. I used some Dylusion's spray ink to give it some color. Then I stamped and cut out the center tag (Autumn Leaves), die cut the ring and the car, and then I took a photo, cut out the cactus and Dave and my faces.
How fun!
And I finally found a die cut that cuts rings. I've been wanting one for a while. Quickutz makes this one. I found it on eBay.
Here we are in this close up-giggles.
So I notice the second floor challenge is up on Balzer Designs. This is just perfect for the theme right now is Circles. Check it out here: http://balzerdesigns.typepad.com/balzer_designs/2012/05/second-floor-challenge-4-circles.html.
I know my top photo is pretty bad-but you get the gist.

And here is one place that we went that day.
That's moi by the sign.
I made the paper by stamping the cacti all over my watercolor paper, and adding some little brown stamp dots and then distressing the page. I also used this map sticker. I stamped the words (Stampers Anonymous) on clear acetate and then cut them out and added them to my sticker. Then I put a heart right about where this National Park would be located in Arizona.
So last night I was scrapping and got stuck on this page. I had to walk away because it was getting too time consuming and not going any place. And when I walk away I think I might never figure out what to do to finish the page off, and then some how, out of the blue, at some point, the answer comes to me. Not quite sure how the brain does that, but it is fascinating that it does that. And usually the answer is just perfect!
Off to get my Tuesday started.
Have a fabulous day.
