Art Journal

So I haven't done tons of art this week. Instead I shopped, did some curriculum work for school, gardened, read a lot and worked on getting my studio area better organized. Its been fun. Well maybe not the curriculum work but it was still fun to see my co-worker friends and even though we worked, we had some good chatter too.
And this is where we did our work, so it wasn't like we had to sit inside on a gorgeous summer day.
Made it a lot easier, that's for sure!
But I did do a little bit of arty things.
Here's my page for the week.
Lots of paint, stencils, some stamped images, some clear gel dots and some hand cut letters from a page of an old calendar.
Don't know why but once I had the background done of this page those words came in my head and wouldn't go away. So they became the theme of the page.
Still debating if I should outline the letters like I did the S, mainly because I couldn't free hand cut an  S. I have before, but just wasn't happening that day.I love the look of these letters though.
So what do you think? Do you like this as much as I do?
Thanks for visiting.

Lovely poster, Erika. I had to water the flowers early in the week, but today it is raining so nature is doing that chore for me.

This looks Beautiful! Love the effect behind 'Water The' and I think the outline will add a depth to the letters :)

Oh my goodness....I LOVE this art piece sooo much... the color, the placement of letters... I don't know why it speaks to me so much but I had goosebumps, my gauge for excellence...fired something up in me... Things to ponder I guess!!

I do like your page with the flowers, face and letters and you sound as if you have had a fun all-rounded week too. We are watering the flowers and vegetables here, quite unusual to have to do so.

Love all those little dots making up a bigger circle. As for watering the flowers, we've had so much rain this week I haven't had to :)

I am very late for PPF visits this week, but finally getting there...I remember the long summers working on planning and curriculum when I was teaching...only thing that got me through was rewarding myself with some painting at the end... great page...xx
