More Masculine and Feminine

So here's another journal page I am linking to Art Journal Journey. I sat down this past Saturday morning and decided to make a couple of pages for this journaling challenge.
Not sure what I think of this page. I like it and then again I don't like it. I used a Gelli print from my paper pile and stamped this serious looking man (B-Line Design) all over the page.  The background was rather dark and with a little bit of stenciling, it made me think this man was locked away in something.  So I decided on this heart as a prisoner theme.
I colored the girl (also B-Line Designs) very brightly because don't the ones we love fill a bright spot in our hearts?
I'm not sure she looks like a very bright or cheery person though, at least in this image.
But the dark colors  make him kind scary in a  way. Like he's way too serious about her.
Maybe the pink and yellow are too bright, but then again I really like them.
Well, it is what it is.  No sense analyzing it to death.
I guess I can like it and not like it at the same time.
So tonight the graduation activities at the school I teach at begin for me.  I advise the National Honor Society and we have this rather nice little sashing ceremony for the seniors. The juniors put a gold sash on the seniors and we send them on their way.
It is a nice way to wrap up the year.
Another thing I can check off the list before summer vacation!!!!!
I am all about the check off the list right now.
Have a great day and as always, thanks for visiting.

I love the page .. the yellow and pink is gorgeous against the darker background! And often it is a hate-love relationship between couples!
Have fun with all the events at school!
Thank you for joining us again at Art Journal Journey Erika!

I like this page! It's pretty complex and everyone can read it in different ways, love the contrast between the dark masculine and the bright feminine sides.

I think this is a perfectly wonderful page Erika!! The darker background of the men and then the colorful woman image along with the bright pink and yellow really represent (to me anyway)the difference between men and women. Happy graduation day!
