Tea Time

The theme this month at Art Journal Journey is Time, and since I am an avid tea drinker, what better than a page than one dedicated to tea time? Thanks to Yvonne for hosting this month.

So this past Sunday I spent the day boating on the big lake near us. It has been very hot here lately, and it was a good day to be out on the water. Not only was it my husband and myself, but my daughter, sister-in-law and her daughter joined us too. Here's a few photos I took, and I'll have some more to show you tomorrow.
Otter family painting under a bridge. they are so cute!
Houses along one section of the lake.
And I love this little gingerbread cottage on one of the islands. How cute is that?
This beach on the lake was extremely crowded. Not surprising since it was about 90 degrees Fahrenheit.

Cool little sea plane in the clouds!
And how about this motorized glider?
And some people were enjoying this historic old tour boat.
And you can see all the boats already at these town docks at 9:30 in the morning.
And the boats travelling through this channel. Lots of boats  out on such a hot summery day!
That's all for today. I hope you are staying cool!
As as always, thanks for visiting my blog today!

LOVE your journal page, beautiful, as always. And the photos are first class, it all looks so fresh and invigorating. Love the otters under the bridge! And I've never seen a sea-plane before. Just got back from the dentist here, so glad to rest now. Have a lovely day, hugs, Valerie

Golly Erika, I wish you would join us each Tuesday at T Stands for Tuesday. This is a perfect example of art I love to see. The painting is wonderful, the colors are HOT, the teapot is stellar, and I would drink out of that cup any day.

Speaking of HOT, it finally cooled here to the low 90s on Sunday, so I was able to not perspire quite as badly. Much better than our high heat and humidity we've suffered so much this summer.

Looks like it was cool on the lack, though. And like you, I really liked the gingerbread house!
