Industrial Art

Last Sunday we brought the ocean boat home. It spends the summer parked in a field at a marina. When we go out, we put it into the water and then we pull it out again at the end of the day's boating adventure.. But now summer is over the boat comes home for a good cleaning and then it goes sits in my mother-in-laws driveway (where there is more room) until next spring.
Sad we've reached the point where the boat is coming home again.
When we went to get it, I walked around the field and took  bunch of artsy photos of boats and boat snippets. Lots of sailboats have already been pulled out of the water and are parked for the winter. (We could leave ours too but there's a big winter storage fee so instead we bring it home since then we get to to park it for free!)

Finding art and color where you least expect it. Distressed and bright and full of stripes, twists, drips, patterns and other textures.

That's it for me today. Thanks for stopping by for a visit.

I am in love with these wonderful photos, one lovelier than the other. I'm sure it's sad that the boating season is over, but you will be able to look forward to it all the more next year! Have a great day, hugs, Valerie

WONDERFUL photos Erika ---wow!
We had a motor boat with a mini cabin - just for sleeping on board -many years ( with my first hubby as I was young - he died far too soon )
at the Danube near Vienna ... every Sunday we pulled it out again of the water because my husband wanted it not to get dirty - set it in the water - pulled it out again---I hated this procedere..
I wasn't the big fan of boating because of this process...
on holidays we drove to the Mediterranean Sea -- and spent holidays in Italy or Croatia ... that was nice and there he let at least the boat stay in water during the whole time we stayed.
But at all - I don't miss it very much .

Hope your week is good yet!

artsy photos indeed!
salt really does wonderful artful things to metal,
not really good things though.
my sister just closed up her lake house and she feels the same way, sad that season is over.
