Christmas Weekend Winds Down

Its been a fun holiday weekend here for me. There were family visits, time being Santa, baking treats, eating good food, good laughs, a few movies, a  fun get together, lots time time with the hubby and my daughter.
We managed to get to see the new Stars Wars movie (Loved it!) and had some very warm weather. It was great for walking.
Lots of colors from lights and wrapping paper and dishes and such.

Every ornament on the tree has a story to tell about this Christmas or last Christmas or the holidays of some year past.
 Smiles and fun and joy.
In the morning the hubby and the daughter go back to work. The dogs go for a day of play at doggie day care. I'm going into the studio to make art all day. The heck with the messy house and the boxes that need to get brought to the dump. I only have this one week of vacation and there are agendas some other days so I am going to take full advantage of a day when it is chilly and I can stay in my sweatpants and splash paint around.
Big Smile on my face.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope your week is starting off in a really good way.

It looks like you had a wonderful (and colorful) Christmas. Loved the photo of "Santa" in his hat. The ornaments always tell a story, don't they? I don't think we'd keep them if they didn't.

You asked how the boys like the mice. Bleubeard likes the catnip better than the young Squiggles. Seems Bleubeard didn't like catnip when he was young, either. Now he goes bonkers over it. So one loved his gift, one saw it as a toy to bat around.

Have a lovely rest of the weekend, and enjoy your time in the studio. I know what you mean about letting the housework go. There are days I don't want to do anything except make something in my studio. So here's to a good day in your haven.

Looks perfect. My kiddo and his girl and dog left yesterday, so we too, had a busy weekend. Lots to eat, too much really, trips to Portland and out and about round here and lovely Christmas eve and Christmas Day. Dogs got spoiled too. Sound about right eh? xox
