Good Cheer

The weekend is just about over-another work week is ready to roll. I wish I had a vacation now because I really want to stay home and bake some cookies and go walking. We are having some gorgeous warm weather for December.  It seems like the 40-50 degree temperatures (Fahrenheit) are going to last all week too! I guess I can't complain but this would be a great time to be home, especially without the cold and snowy weather.
So here's a recent journal page made with lots of paint, stencils, stamps, wooden trees and snowflakes. The bird looks a little annoyed, but I'm not sure at what.
I am linking this page to Art Journal Journey. This month the hostess is Valerie and picked the theme of collage.
So as I mentioned already, I want to bake some cookies.  Some of that is because of the time of year, which just screams cookies, but some of it is also because I bought myself a new cookie cookbook.
I can't wait to try a few recipes.
I'm also reading a new book.  It by Alice Starmore, a star in the knitting world. She's written lots of fantastic pattern books, but this a non-fictional account of when she traveled around the US teaching knitting classes back in the 1980's and 1990's.  I was lucky enough to take 2 classes with her at different times way back then, so I am enjoying the read.
And last but not least, how about this cute puppy! They took this photo at the doggy day care where we send our cute girl  Maddie . I guess they got this toddler slide and my girl has fallen in LOVE with it.  She is the queen of the slide as they say.
If anyone is excited for Monday it is she, who can't wait to go to doggy day care.

Hope your week starts off on a good foot and thanks for stopping by my blog.

I love your nice page ! It's super!! Thank you for dedicating so many pages to Art Journal Journey again - and I would love to taste some of the cookies you are going to bake - and last but not least I have a big smile on my face right now.. she is just adorable --what a lovely dog! The queen of the slide!! Wonderful!
Have a good new week Erika!
I will bake some cookies as well today as hubby and daughter did eat all that I baked so far.... my dogs are my assistents ... always be willing to sacrifice for plumped down or cracked cookies.

I came for the art, but got all caught up looking at Maddie. I laughed and laughed because my computer and internet are SO slow, the scroll doesn't really work like it should. I was "scrolling" and saw the start of the last photo, where Maddie looked like her head was attached to the dog in the background. I thought she was contorted. Sorry. It was HILARIOUS!!

First of all I love your fantastic collage page with the bare winter tree. When I say your photos I was in love with your sweet dog. She looks very happy at the day care centre, they have a super place to play.

I like this very much - the background behind the tree, the tree and the cross bird, he's really funny.
