Parcel Post In Transit

I've got a silly page for Art Journal Journey today. This month's theme is journeys, and as I was thinking about that topic, I somehow got thinking about all kinds of journeys. One of those ideas that came into my warped brain was the mail. Now I don't sit around thinking about packages, letters and parcels too often, but some of them take quite a journey. If you think about all the goods we purchase that travel on container ships, and if you think about cars we own that come from far away, and if you think about things we  buy on-line that get shipped from another places, our possessions often take journeys themselves.
So that's my theme of today's journal page.
The Tim Holtz Sizzix holiday package die works great for a page like this.I could make lots of boxes of different sizes just by running it through the die cut machine.

Also I want to mention my error in my post yesterday. I showed you a photo of a cake. It is a dump cake, but the dump part is the base, not the topping or the flavor. And it is a pineapple upside down cake- we call it it that here too. Somehow I forgot to mention that in my post and all kinds of people were telling me they called it a pineapple upside down cake, and I was thinking, didn't I say that? Then I looked and noticed I missed mentioning that.  And it is one of my favorite cakes too.
Did I forget to mention that too?
So that's all for me today, before I forget something else.  Ha-ha!
Thanks for visiting!

It's an interesting idea - yes you are completely right --every parcel takes a journey.
A super page - full of action and life.
Happy Day Erika - you are an amazing hostess!

Ah, this is wonderful. And I like your latest interpretation of a journey. It's truly relevant and hits the topic right on its head.

Laughing about the pineapple upside down part, now!

Well just your apology above is making me hungry :-) (about to visit your yesterday's post too).
Fun page and thinking...
so true about packages.
I always marvel that a thin little postcard can travel the globe and arrive at its destination.

That is a very unique take on the theme of journeys, plus I love the way you used Tim's holiday package die too. I am always fascinated when I track the "journeys" my packages go through when I order from Amazon. Blessings!
