Second on the Second-

Monday has returned and it's back to work for me. But one thing about when this vacation wraps up is that we're go back to the last stretch of the school year. In less than 2 months I'll be on my long summer break which is always exciting. Plus hopefully since it is May now the weather will stay beautiful-rain is OK but cold and snow is not. There is something very exciting about this time of year.
I am focusing on journeys this month, so today for   Second on the Second   I have some pages from a journal I made and showed you back in 2013.  (Hop on over to Elizabeth's blog to check out everyone else's second on the second.)

And since this has never been linked to AJJ, and since I gave it a few updates, I am linking to Art Journal Journey. It fits this months theme of Journeys.
Hope you enjoy your view.
Thanks for stopping by and come back again soon.

Oh, a new header, what a great idea to change your header on the 1st of the month. I especially like all the circles and the poetic advice to the postman (said feelingly).
It's great to see older posts again, instead of them being hidden, and yours is so vibrant and colourful, gives a great feeling of travel. I like the plane towing the suitcase - maybe it was left behind and got tied on at the last minute, haha! - at least it had a chance of getting its destination.

I am sure you are anxious to be back in full rein of the classroom as you and the students wind down the final weeks before graduation.

Being so new to your blog, it's always a joy to see your choices for your second post. These are no exception because they fit the AJJ theme so well, too. I can certainly relate to pot holes! And I loved your 2 cents to travel tourist class.

Thanks for sharing your lovely tag and your incredible journal pages with us as a Second look on the 2nd.

To answer your question, the elephants are already there, but are still being kept in the "barn" until they have acclimated to Stephanie and each other. On the day we plan to go to see the new exhibit, I expect to see elephants splashing, romping, roaming, and chomping (on food). I may be wrong, but I think they will all be out and about, rather than being confined to the barn. I'm certainly looking forward to seeing them, since I've never seen an elephant at our zoo.

Wonderful pages, you always have such lovely ideas. And I also love re-working 'old' art and making new from it, I think our ideas change and develop in the course of time, and this is a good thing. Have a lovely day, have fun, hugs, Valerie

This is fabulous Erika! I have to say though living out of a suitcase for three weeks in France last year was fine but I don't think I would do it for much longer..no matter how far I could get!! I love the plane towing the suitcase!! Chrisx

I don't know whether I will adjust to living out of a suitcase.

What a super beautiful spread for the AJJ theme - thanks a lot ...and it's a fantastic second look as well! I also try to use a lot of my old work in a new way - this is a kind of artsy recycling, isn't it?!
I am specially thrilled about the colors in this spread!
Your header is great Erika!
I am a bit sad that I have no time this week and hadn't prepaired pages for the theme yet.. but I will start out next week with fresh ideas I hope. Brother is now here and I have to do soo much .... but the week will fly bye I am sure.
Happy Tuesday dear Erika!
