Iceland Journal Part 2

We had rain here today, and I must say it made it a nice low key day.  OK it actually motivated me to do a little bit of picking up around the house too, because who wants to stay in and clean on a gorgeous day. But on a rainy day, you might as well. I also worked some more in my Iceland travel journal, so  here's a few more pages to show you.
My inner front cover. This is the degree latitude of Reykjavik. I got the idea from an Icelandic brand of outdoor wear called 66 degree north, but I didn't want to be a copycat. This is the furthest north I have ever been , although back in my 20's I did visit Ornskoldsvik, Sweden where my uncle lived and that is at 63 degree latitude north, which is pretty close. I guess unless I want to be technical they are really around the same latitude.
Also more views of my hand carved (some backwards) rune stamps.
And my other pages have flip ups.
The fisherman and the underside weather tag were on a shirt I purchased for my daughter.
A card from the hotel we stayed at for 2 nights in the family room-all 4 of us shared a room and I even got the bottom of a bunkbed.
It was a huge salmon fishing area. I would have liked to have given it a try.

And I had to do a page of a few places we ate (and those buy anything gas stations).
Plus I added a little gnome. Just for the spirit of Iceland.
So we're off to Boston to go see the kidney transplant people today at Massachusetts General Hospital. Keep your fingers crossed for us that all goes well and we can set a date to move forward.
Hope everyone else has a great day.

I was catching up with your posts and so went and saw later post first to make sure all went well in Boston and saw that it did :)

More lovely journal pages - you always seem to find such wonderful things to add to your pages to illustrate everything so well.
I can't image 20 hours of daylight or the dark days - it must really mess up the body clock.
Hope you have a lovely weekend.. Gill xx
