An Old Fashion Tree

A lousy photo but my journal is filling up and it doesn't want to lay flat.
Plus photographing at night at this time of year is never good. Sorry for that!
But here's a page that fits both Art Journal Journey and Moo Mania, Valerie is hosting Art Journal Journey this month and the theme is light and darkness. These candles are so bright on the trees in these old images.
And Moo Mania's newest theme is Trees.
And, since the theme at Try It On Tuesday is celebrations, I am linking up there also!!! Wow- 3 challenges in one post.
So my page began with a wipe of green paint. Then I added this die cut holiday tree (cut from sparkle paper), along with some old tree images, a vintage top off  of an eggnog bottle, some other ephemera, some stamped rain drops -which I then added some sparkle to also.  The measuring tape  is a piece from a paper one left behind by on of my husband's visiting nurses back when he having them come. The good news with him is that he is now back to work for a whole week! The bad news is that he still has remember he can't do everything yet-including shoveling. That means my daughter and myself are in charge of that :(, but the good news we actually hired someone to plow-which is really nice. Just hope we're not paying him multiple times a week this winter.
Speaking of winter-today our bitter cold arrives tonight. We are suppose to feel way below zero (-23 degrees C). Brrr. Getting out tomorrow for work is NOT going to be fun. And I don't think official weather has started yet!
OK, work is calling me.
One more week until vacation begins, :)

Right now it feels pretty bitter as you will soon find when you leave school...Brrrr indeed. I wishing for a few(under 6") of snow at a time, that will be okay with me, it's those 2 feet dumps that make life miserable. Hope your merry is making. Your page reminds me so much of my childhood Christmas memories...xox

A THREEfer. That's awesome. So is your wonderful journal page. Of course, I am especially in awe of that egg nog bottle cap. We don't get those here. We get egg nog, but it comes in wax coated paper containers. LOVE this entry.

I'm catching up so you must be on vacation now! YAY! There sure is plenty to shovel this year. I'm lucky because I hire my neighbor but still have to do the stoop and sometimes before he comes. After my tumble on the ice this weekend, I don't think I'll be doing a whole lot on that front. Just a bad back twist! Bad timing but that's life...
