Season of Light, Hope, Peace and Love

Happy Wednesday everyone. Today I have another journal spread for Valerie's theme over at   Art Journal Journey , Light and Darkness.
Photographing art at this time of year is soooo difficult (as many of you know) with all the darkness. Always shadows everywhere from those electric lights. And getting the colors to look like they are, impossible practically. The background on my page is gold, not brown. AUGH!
But candle light is golden and stars sparkle.
And like where many of you live, the snow has come to New Hampshire.
I'm NOT ready for it at all, even if it is pretty.
Have a great day and I appreciate your stopping by for a visit.

I love your journal spread, with the beautiful candle and stars, just right for this time of year. Sorry the snow has arrived sooner than you wanted, we don't always get the choice. No snow here, but it's very cold, too cold for this old girl! Thanks for joining us again at AJJ, hugs, Valerie

I love this spread almost more than I can say. I know what you mean about the photography but it seemed to work here. I can definitely pick up the texture around the candle, the sparklies.

And I'm not ready for snow either. Looks like much more is coming later this week. Bundle up!

And thanks for your visits to my blog and wonderful comments. I love it when you come by, you say such nice things!

I can relate to photos taken at this time of year are less than successful. But you have turned this into a masterpiece. It's a genuine beauty. I also like the winter photo. Nothing like that here, at least not YET!

Your journal page is lovely! I'm not sure what you used for the candle but the effect is really cool with the dripping wax. Super photo too! I am ready for the snow but the snow we've received so far hasn't wanted to stay for long. Maybe in another week or so :)

I love the way you did your candle :)

It's finally getting cold here, but no snow for us. High todaymid-40sF and a low tomorrow tonight of 20F. Brrrrr. I'll bring in the finches and the rest of the potted plants this afternoon.

I am in love with your journal pages, so creative and fun. And your header reminds me of getting our tree when I was way younger. Thanks for commenting on my page as well.

I love using gold and silver, but photographing it is tuff, it becomes brown and gray....gerrr! Regardless, you AJJ pages are beautiful, love your candle.....looks very real.

Snow is pretty.....when your looking at it through a window.

Light, Hope, Peace and Love are such lovely words for this time of year, and your page captures them beautifully! I can definately relate to your experience when taking photos, the quality of light in the winter months is not helpful, although I think your page still looks fabulous! The candle looks real with the wax dripping down and those stars are gorgeous with all the glitter and shimmer - wonderful :-). Looks like you have your own winter wonderland with all the snow, it always looks so pretty when you don't have to go out in it ... lol. Have a lovely weekend! J :-)

Your artwork is really magical and I love the melted wax effect on your candle.
I know what you mean about taking photos with the light at present - I keep meaning to setup my camera on a tripod and try some other settings to see if I can improve the ones I've been taking of my Steampunk tree.... thanks for your lovely comments on that too :)
