T Is For a Shopping Break

Happy T Day everyone. We're into the holiday countdown, so I thought I would show you a photo I snapped a couple of weeks ago when the hubby and I were out running  errands. We stopped at Panera for a warm cup of coco (since it was cold outside)and a little recharge snack. For those of you not familiar with Panera, it is a sandwich, soup, salad and bakery chain here in the US.
The cookie was good as was the coco, but I think I am a little spoiled having had the homemade coco at the little hole in the wall restaurant near my house. They're coco is homemade and is better than Panera's.
I am linking up to Try It on Tuesday over at Elizabeth's blog. Stop by and link up your latest drink and food.
Its  still cold here, but they say warming up as the week goes on. So it will most likely feel like spring on Christmas.
And I'm in countdown until vacation mode. I am writing this Monday night and there's only 2 1/2 more days until school is off for a bit. Big smile!
Happy T day!

This cookie looks very inviting! And hot chocolate is always good for soul and body even though there are different labels of quality!

That looks like a wonderful cookie and the drink sound delicious. You seem to have loads more choice of places to eat out than we do in the NE of the UK.
Your beak from work will be here before you know it.
Happy T day

Oh WOW. 2 1/2 days and counting. I've never had either a drink or a cookie at Panera, but their sandwiches are divine, as is the bread they put it on. Like you, I am spoiled to my own hot chocolate, and once you get spoiled, the other often doesn't seem to compare. But at least you and hubby got out and that's a good thing, for both of you.

On the news last night, it showed it was the first time since Feb, 2011 that we've had two sub zero days in a row. The one good thing is, the ground wasn't already frozen solid like it was in Feb, 2011.

Thanks for sharing your cocoa and cookie with us for T this Tuesday. It warmed your hands at least!

forgot to mention, that even though it's supposed to get warmer this week, by either Friday or Saturday, we will be in the deep freeze again, at least according to our weatherman. Not being chauvinistic, but the station I watch has two male and three female weather people. When I watch (usually 5 pm) it's a weatherMAN.

We love Panera Bread and always visit when we are in America - yum! What could be better than hot coco and a cookie while you are running errands on a cold winter's day, perfect! Yay, only 2.5 days left to work ... wow, I don't know where this year has gone ... lol :-). Wishing you a very Happy T Day! J :-) x

Everybody seems to know Panera, but I am glad you explained because I had not heard of it. The giant cookie looks yummy. The coacoa looks like a takeaway jobby. It tastes much nicer in a proper mug doesn't it.
You are looking forward to your days off. And I wish you a really lovely Christmas quietly together with your recovering husband.
Happy T-Day,
Hugs,
Lisca

There's nothing like a small, home-owned shop for good cocoa, compared to pretty much any place. I agree about Panera's cocoa -- but that said, when you're shopping and it's cold, any port in a storm!

I have never been to a Panera restaurant - I love to read too and right now I am reading a fabulous book about Catherine the Great.
Merry Christmas Erika!
