What to do during a blizzard

The snow has been coming down all day, and the wind has been howling. There's at least 18 inches out there, but maybe a lot more. With the wind blowing the snow around and the snow still falling its hard to tell.
You can see how it accumulated in the kitchen window during the day.

As I am a geek and it was pi day (because the blizzard came on 3/14 and since the number pi starts off as  3.14), I was inspired to make an apple pie with some Granny Smith apples in my refrigerator. Imagine my surprise when I saw CJ & Ink had the same idea.
I guess us snowed in geeks have the same great ideas. :)

It sure tasted good too. :)
And I've got a new page for Art Journal Journey and Yvonne's fun challenge-Out and About . The recent full moon was amazing so I made a page about it. Of course it was so cold and windy here I couldn't go out and enjoy it, but I can pretend I got to enjoy a bright night outside.
I stenciled the stars and then sprayed the page with some liquid black ink. I painted moon and the landscape, stamped the dog walker and the words. It still needed something, so I painted and doodled the border.
It was a good day home, although no shoveling got done. Who knows what will happen with school tomorrow, guess it depends when this storm actually blows away, so I may be coming home and shoveling then. Guess time will tell.
Thanks for stopping by and visiting. I really appreciate it.

Great full moon page. I always think it's better to paint than to shovel, and eat Pi. Stay warm.

As I told CJ, I'm a math/science geek, too, and completely forgot Pi day. I often celebrate it, just forgot it this year. LOVE the pie, though.

You are getting hammered, aren't you. Some didn't get as much as expected, but it looks like you have.

Great moon journal page. Hope it shines once the snow stops. Have a fun day off, cause I know you won't be heading to school tomorrow.

Oh my gosh! You made the best out of pi day Erika - even a fantastic page for AJJ!
Thank you so much! Take care of you!

I hope the snow hasn't been worse that it looked in your photos. It was a delicious looking pie you made, so hopefully that means you still have the power lines working.
I love the smiling moon on your journal page and the little figures walking in the moonlight. It looks fantastic.
Stay safe in the snow.

Your pie looks amazing. Your snow day was more productive. I took a nap and didn't art. School in town got a 2 hr delay today. I'd wish you another happy snow day, but I know you have to make those days up later in June. Stay safe.

Pi day! Love it! My husband is a math editor at Houghton Mifflin and every year they celebrate Pi day and everyone brings a pie in. Not this year due to the storm though! Gorgeous pie by the way. I cannot make one for the life of me!

I do miss having the occasional deep snow; we haven't had more than a couple of inches once -maybe twice- a year in decades.

We went out for pie for pi day yesterday. What fun!

Beware the Ides of March! ;)

I thought about you during the blizzard. I love those photos through the screen. It's a very interesting technique, especially with the light the way it is.

And your pie looks fabulous!

Very fun page too with all the happy stars!
