Sweater Days

Happy Wednesday everyone. It's crisp and November like again today. I guess it was inevitable at some point all our gorgeous fall weather would come to an end.
I've got another journal page to share today for Chris's fun challenge at Art Journal Journey. For today's take on 101 Ways to Keep Warm, I have sweaters. I believe for you folks in the UK you call these jumpers. (Am I right about that?)
Because a wool sweater not only keeps you warm but can be awfully pretty to wear too.
And it's chilly enough today I need to wear one of mine.
I always get excited when I get pull out my sweaters. By March I will be sick of them, but since I
haven't worn them in months, I am ready to wear them again. It's like meeting up with an old friend.  I have some sweaters that are over 20 years old but when you have a classic, it never goes out of style.
So I doodled and colored these sweaters on my journal page.
Not much else going on in my world.
Thanks for stopping by my blog and visiting.

Your sweaters are just beautiful!!! Love them and I would wear them all except the yellow one - that colour doesn't fit me, it makes me looking like I am sick.
Beautiful idea for Chris' theme.
It's an interesting thing that we in the german speaking world have since ever just an english word for this garment - it was PULLOVER ever since it existed ( I googled ... here it is popular since app.1817 )- and an interesting thing I googled that under Hitler the German were supposed to call it NOT Pullover but "Schwubber" ( I guess because this sounds more like german ) Nowadays we call woollen sweaters "Pullover" and all out of fabric is called "Sweater".Isn't it fun that we have never had an own german term?!
Thank you for a fabulous page and a lovely theme to think about extra.
And I am sitting here in my extra cardigan over my shirt - and for this we have an german term...
STRICKJACKE ( Knitted-Jacket ) and we have also a mixed term for it when it is not knitted it is called "Sweatjacke" ...
I really love to look at languages and how they are mingled....
it's so intersting and fun!

Happy day my friend there in New Hampshire!

I'm not much of a sweater person, but I simply ADORE the lovely sweaters you have given us for AJJ. My winter clothes are also like old friends, and I agree it feels good to get them out and know they have waited on us to put them on again this year. You have some really beautiful and colorful sweaters. And there are certainly quite a few there, too. Wonderful art, wonderful way to meet this challenge.

Sweaters are my favorite "type" of clothes -- I like all kinds and love that warm and cozy feeling, so your page here make me happy. (What I don't like is that cold is required for them!)

Yeah it's finally getting downright chilly here in Nashua, NH so that I can wear long sleeves, sweaters and flannels. I'm not totally ready for any of the white precip, but glad the warm weather is past. And, yes favorite sweaters are ones we keep...and draw too in your case, Erika.
