Adventure in Blue (Well Mostly)

Happy Monday from chilly New Hampshire. Our temperatures are back down into the VERY cold mode once again.
And Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day to all of those in the US.
My journal page today is another winter inspired page. Today's adventure is about going outside in the cold. Since it is a holiday and I don't have to go to work, and since it it also cold again, I probably won't go outside today. OK, I don't mind a little cold but I don't like it much below 20 degrees F (-6 degrees C). And since it is below 20 degrees, I will just stay inside and stoke the woodstove and make a little art.
My art adventure today was making a page that feels cold. I used this blue and white gelli printed background. Then I drew and painted the cold winter wind swirls. I also used some spray sparkle (Glitter Dust) on my background at this point. You can see the effect on the top of the page better than on the bottom, but I wanted the page to look like there was snow blowing around, which often happens on these windy winter days.
Plus my page is an adventure in blue. I have decided to try making some pages that are a little more monochromatic.
Then I added the rest of the ephemera, including a cardboard cut out star, some TH found relatives, some old postage stamps, some letter stickers and 3 felt snowflakes.
So I am linking up to the Frosty Winter theme at Moo Mania and also to the New Year: New Adventure theme at Art Journal Journey.
I hope you have some arty adventures to share with us also, even if they aren't based on cold winter days.
And thanks for visiting my blog too.
I appreciate you stopping by.

You are a star and your art journal page proves it. I'm with you on this subfreezing weather. Yesterday it was above freezing, but temps went back in the toilet last night. Have a fun day off and stay warm, please. I really LOVE this blue adventure that you shared with us at Art Journal Journey today. Happy MLK Day, dear.

I really can feel the coldness when I look at this wonderful wintery page! You achieved a fantastic movement here- wow!
Keep warm - I do the same here - we have just 2 degrees C more but also below zero and the snow is not melting this time - good that it was not that much. So nice to see you at Moo Mania & More as well! Thank you for support this challenge also! Much appreciated Mrs.Master- Hostess of AJJ!
Enjoy your Holiday,
Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day!

I love your page and it does feel cold--we are cold here too with much colder temps dropping in this afternoon and tonight and got a little more snow-probably around 3 inches now which seems like allot since we have not had any snow here for the last couple of years. stay warm and cozy indoors-I am staying in too-enjoy your day off hugs Kathy

I'll let the people on your page bundle up and have a frosty adventure while that blue wind swirls around them. Not me. I think today is a baking day. Just made blueberry scones and will probably bake some bread late today. Stay warm and enjoy your day off.

That IS cold!! We are forecast lower temps and wind later this week - just when we have to you out to appointments! I adore this page - have just used the same paper dolls on a page still to be photographed in the daylight!! Hugs, Chrisx

A fantastic sparkling blue, winters day page. Its real grey here at the moment so this is really cheerful to see.

Really wonderful! I'm feeling like that right now with an extra sweater and slippers and am still cold, lol. It's a lovely journal page and I love all of the layers and the blues. The monochromatic blues go well with just a hint of red.

Oh wow what an explosion in blue, the background for your motif in the middle looks amazing.
To position the people in the middle of that star was a good idea.
Dear Greetings
