A Quiet Weekend

Happy New Week everyone. I had a quiet relaxing weekend. Anyone else watching the winter Olympics?  I spent some TV time watching both the Olympics and catching up on this latest season of Victoria. The hubby and I planned a summer get away for a week in July which is exciting since we haven't been able to do this since 2014 as he was tied to kidney dialysis, but no more! And lastly I  spent a few hours Sunday afternoon in the studio. I decided to put aside the projects that were not working for me and putting me into a slump. So no Valentine Day cards for anyone and a few journal pages that weren't working for me got put aside until I get inspired to get back to them.
I did make this romantic page in my calendar journal for this week. It's a lousy photo though. I tried to snap it under a light since it was a dark and wet day  but that created dark spots and I didn't get the whole page in the photo.
Oh well, I think you can get how it looks.
So I am linking up to Moo Mania and their latest theme of Love.
I am also linking up to Try It on Tuesday and their theme of Love Is In The Air.
Another busy week for me. Not sure I am ready for it to begin, but ready or not, here I come. :)
Thank you for visiting, and I always appreciate your comments.

This is a gorgeous journal page, love the warm colours, a pleasant contrast to our cold weather. Glad you are able to take a holiday together this year, you deserve it after all you went through. And sometimes it's good to let things sit for a time....Have a great week, hugs, Valerie

Not much of an Olympics fan, and I hope to catch up on Victoria tonight after having dinner with The Eldest as Himself is teaching tonight. Where are you and your hubby going in July? Something to look forward to, instead of cold, wet weather. At least it stopped raining.

Sometimes the best thing you can do when the art isn't working is to put it away and come back to it with fresh eyes. I love your page and the Bob Dylan quote is perfect.

I always watch the Olympics and am especially impressed by the ski jumping and other sports where the contestants look like they are actually flying. Wow!

I like the quote you paired with that couple. They look like an adoring couple.

I often leave pages and go back to them when I'm inspired again, which can be months later ...lol 😉. How exciting to have a summer getaway planned with your hubby and I'm now looking forward to seeing the travel journal that you create - what fun 😁. Your calender page is fabulous! I love the romantic look and feel that you created with the pretty papers and your lovely couple - perfect 😁. The washi tapes and sparkle are beautiful too. Thanks so much for joining us at Try it on Tuesday, it's always such a pleasure to see your creations! J 😊

Personally, I think your Valentine inspired page is fabulous. Your page turned out better than mine, because my pink turned yellow in the late afternoon light. And I was really impressed with this entry, too. Sometimes it's good to put things aside until you are ready to return to them. I just wish I could get into my craft room for more than about 15 minutes before my hands turn to ice. Sounds like you had fun in yours.

BTW, I'm also enjoying Victoria on PBS.
