Welcome June

Happy Friday everyone. And it is a new month today so Happy June to you also.
Today I have a tag to join in with the group over at Tag Tuesday The latest theme is lock and key, and even though I don't have any locks on this tag, I do have some keys.
I made this tag for my Japan Travel Journal. I used scraps of a black and white napkin as my background. I also stamped the Japanese lady image and colored the image in with markers. The big cherry blossom is a die cut, which I colored and even stamped a bit. Then I added the keys. The small cherry blossoms at the top of the page are also die cuts. And I had the big Asian piece in my stash, but I can' t remember where I originally got it
I am also linking up to Moo Mania as their latest challenge is die cuts.
And one more link up for me.  I am linking to Try It On Tuesday because their new challenge is "She's Got the Look" and this lady does have a look.  Maybe not the look, but she does have a look. :)

I don't think we are going to have fantastic weather this weekend in my world, but I have plenty to do whether I need to be inside or if I can get outside. The kids at school have almost totally shut down, it's become a battle every day, so the weekend can't begin fast enough. :)  It is time for summer vacation. Or some rainy and cooler weather as that will put us all into a different mood. Oh and some good news if you stopped by yesterday and read about my car problems.  Did you know that mouse damage is covered by the comprehension part of insurance? I was quite happy about that as the repair was going to cost me over $700 and now I only have to pay my $50 deductible. My car is actually fixed and the insurance company has paid already, so I am planning on picking it up tonight.
Have a great start to your weekend!
And I appreciate you stopping by.

Hi Erika, your tag is gorgeous! We had a Japan Day last week here in Düsseldorf, there are photos here if you are interested: https://www.google.de/search?q=japan+day+d%C3%BCsseldorf&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiWgvifi7LbAhWRL1AKHQoYBHUQ_AUICigB

This tag is just AWESOME! I love how you used all the components in such a fantastic way and how clever with the tiny keys! Love the loose washi tape accents and the frame brings it all together so well!
So happy you linked it to Moo Mania & More and to Try It On Tuesday! Thank you so much dear Erika! Your art is pure inspiration always!
Hugs and happy day - and I knew it would all go well with the mice car story! Super! I am happy with you about the fact it just cost you $50!

Hugs, Susi

First, that is AWESOME news about the car. I am really pleased to read that. How did a mouse get in your fuel pump is my question.

Second, that is a really, really clever way to create a lock and key tag. I was completely impressed. It was certainly outside the box. Good thinking.

I won't tell you again how long the kids here have been out of school. No snow days this year allowed them to get out two weeks early. While you were shoveling out of head high snow drifts this winter, Wichita kids were attending school and wishing for snow. That is, until it came time for them to get out of school early.

Beautiful tag. The napkin background reminds me of motifs I've seen on kimonos and I like the use of keys on your flower. Glad your car repair was covered by your insurance and they got it fixed quickly. Not going to be a total washout for the weekend. Hope your is a good one.

Its a fabulous oriental tag and it fits the TioT's theme so well. She has the look and she is framed beautifully with all the detail you added. The blossom looks so pretty.
I was happy to read that your car has been repaired, you were lucky to have such an inclusive insurance.
I hope you have a good weekend and that the weather isn't to bad.

Great you got your mouse mishap covered by your insurance, wow, fast work on their part! They must be an excellent company!

I have still not made up my mind about the book you posted about yesterday.... it has very mixed reviews on Amazon....

Your Asia inspired Tag looks great. I like the flower with the keys, a brilliant idea.
The Asian coin looks very decorative to it. A wonderful Collage Mix of decorative things.
