Hi everyone. This is a scheduled post as I am enjoying some time away right now. It's Tuesday, and time for a new challenge at Try It on Tuesday.
Before I get to the new challenge, let me first thank everyone who joined our Children challenge and send a big Thanks to Chrissy who was our guest designer for that challenge. There were so many fun and playful pieces.
For our new challenge, this time we are asking you to use PRETTY PAPERS.
I used this pretty background which was actually part of some supply packaging. Sorry I can't remember who made it because I have a small stack of pretty packaging pieces but they all have their labels cut off of them. (That way they're to be used when I want them 😏)
I stitched around the edges, and then added some assorted paper pieces that hit my eye. I happen to like frames, hearts and postage stamps. And of course flowers. These all come from 49 and Market, but I'm not sure about the tulip. That might be from Stamperia. Anyhow, all these pieces are paper and things that I find pretty.
I finished my page by stamping the quote.
Don't forget to check out all the other pretty paper designs that the design team used for some ideas and suggestions. And as always, our challenge at Try It on Tuesday run for the next 2 weeks. I love paper, so I'm looking forward to seeing what pretty pieces people use.
Such a beautiful page! The papers your used look stunning and I love how you layered the frames and flower together - perfect 😊. Happy wishes ❤️. Hugs, Jo x

I really like the creations to use materials that are great and instead of being thrown away they will become something beautiful!!
This is stunning. I always love your sewing and you know how much I adore postage stamps. This turned out great. Hope you are enjoying your time away.
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful page. LOL, you are among the ones why I have a Singer sewing machine! I showed this to Ingo and BOOM, there it was. I cannot sew...
ReplyDeleteThis is a great composition with the three frames, the flower coming from under the wonderful quote and stretching over the frames and the heart with the stamp, you are so creative!
Thank you for the smile, hugs and hope your holiday is great!

I hope you're having a wonderful time on your trip. The challenge theme is so fun, and your page is really beautiful. I love how you used the packaging paper for the background and added all the different elements. The stitching and the little stamps are such nice touches that make it feel so personal. It's really inspiring to see how you put it all together.

What a lovely page. I particularly like the tulip (I would as I'm from the land of tulips). I have that same tulip somewhere, I have had it for years together with other flowers in a push-out sheet.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend,
Lisca
Lovely page, Erika! I like how your chosen colors work well with the background paper's theme, the bold black-n-white is awesome, and the texture from the stitching is just wonderful. Hope you're having a great time. Anita xx
