Spring

So even though it doesn't look or even much feel like spring here in New Hampshire, we've finally made it to this landmark. Yahoo! No crocuses or bare ground for us yet. In fact this winter is holding on with a vengeance. But every day has to bring us closer to some better weather and no snow on the ground.
I've been thinking about spring a lot lately and one thing (besides flowers) that reminds me of spring is all the birds returning from their winter vacations.

I am still enjoying making all those tags! This week I pulled out my container of bird stamps. Remember when birds were big? I think they're coming back from  of some new stamps being released.
I enjoyed playing with those stamps. I go through days when I think I should have a major purge and really get rid of some of the old things and then I have weeks like this when I have so much fun with them that I don't want to get rid of them.
Fickle me.  Just like spring is here.
My daughter and I were ever so hopeful of good weather the other day that we got ourselves some matching new Birkenstock sandals for summer. She found these on the Haute Look website marked down. We had been eyeing these since last summer but never wanted to pay full price for them.
I am ready to paint up my toenails and start to wear these.
Once it warms up a bit that is.
If it ever warms up...I don't know if I believe that is going to happen the way March has been. (And how they still predict more flurries this weekend. Yeeks!)

Linking these to Paint Party Friday. Thanks to Eva and Kristen for hosting this great site.
Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by my post.

  7. Erika, take heart. It will be spring again some day. I think I heard that this has been the warmest winter in years. Must be a global statistic not local, because out winter has been unseasonably cold. Your bird tags are fantastic. You did great with those beautiful stamps.

  9. Love each one of your tags. If I had to choose I would choose the first because of the unusual way in which you've painted it, but it's a close call.
