Little Cuties

Happy Friday everyone. Today is my mother's 89th birthday.  And my nephew's birthday too. It has always been  a highlight for my mom to have her only grandson born on her birthday.  I have to work today so I can't go celebrate with her but tomorrow I will meet up with my daughter and we'll go see her and have a little birthday cake and birthday cheer.
I have another page from my Halloween journal for the Creature Comfort challenge over at Art Journal Journey. This month's lovely hostess is Linda.
I don't know if this cute little girl  could be called a creature, but a cat could certainly be considered that. And that kitty looks pretty happy and comfy, and just the right color for Halloween.
This Halloween journal is in an old book, so I made my page by first painting the page and then cutting an oval out of a page. Then I colored the underneath page a golden brown and and glued it down to the back side of my front page. That gave me a good place to attach the cute little witch. I created the frame with some sticker tape around the bottom and some shiny metal dot stickers around the rest of the oval. Then I added the kitty and the 31 dot. And finally I added the metal number bar (from TH) at the top.
I hope everyone enjoy's their day and thanks for visiting. I always appreciate you stopping by.

  1. Happy Birthday to your mom and your nephew. the little girl on your Halloween page makes a cute little witch with her familiar. Black cats are the bet.

  2. Happy birthday to your mother, Erika. It's always good to get wishes from people other than your immediate family.

I like the treatment of this latest altered book page. It's definitely one I've used in the past, although not often enough, I fear. To further add to my pleasure and fun, you shared it with us at Art Journal Journey. Your little witch is definitely too cute to be scary. Fabulous job on this entry, dear.

  3. I love this, so Halloweenish! She’s not really a creature, but the look on her face is a little like she’s seen a ghost!
