Neat and Tidy

Hi everyone.  Welcome September. Summer is flying right by and at least here in New Hampshire where I live, signs of autumn are starting and will really be showing  as we progress through this month.

It is Tuesday and it is time for another new challenge at Try It on Tuesday

Our latest challenge is Neat and Tidy. This is a tough one for me as neat and tidy is not my usual style.

My niece got married this past weekend, and due to Covid-19, the wedding became a very very small (under 10 people) immediate family affair. At some point in the future they will have a party, I think. But for the big day, the bride's sister, my other niece, requested cards so at least the bride and groom could have some "audience" cheer,  as none of us were there.
I decided to make my card for this challenge, and figured if I was going neat and tidy I had better use die cuts. Just to be on the safe side. So I created this very traditional style wedding card.
Hope you like it.

And be sure to link up your neat and tidy art of any kind over at Try It on Tuesday. And check out the beautiful inspirational pieces from the design team too.

Thanks for visiting.

  4. I love this card. Too bad it's a card, because it has SO much texture, too. It's beautiful.

  5. Erika this is gorgeous!!! I am a big lover of classy designs and this sure is one. The way you chose browns and pastels over textures of white is warming and at the same time, gives a tender emotion.

  6. That's a lovely card and neat and tidy, too. Congratulations to your niece. Even if the pandemic changed how the wedding was done, it didn't change the couple's love for one another and they will certainly have a year to remember. Happy T Day!

  8. I enjoy hearing how people are adapting events like this to our current limitations. This sounds like a great way to include people who would've been physically present at other times. Sweet :)

  9. The card is beautiful. And it will mean so much more, knowing that it was made for her. I made Heather's wedding card too. It felt good to do that. We'll watch on Zoom.

  10. I think we all found 'neat and tidy' a challenge but I love this pretty wedding card. The flower wreath looks lovely on the textured background. Although not by choice, I think folks are adapting to these 'smaller' ceremonies and sending cards is a way of showing you are still thinking of them on the big day.
Have a great week, Avril xx
