Good Tidings

Hi everyone. I'm posting this evening with a post for the end of this week as I had an early morning Thursday appointment to get my allergy shot. Finally! I'm 2 weeks overdue and my hives have been out of control, so let's hope this kicks in quickly! And Friday morning I also have an early morning appointment too, so I'm posting in between these appointments.

I want to show you my latest tag for Tag Tuesday where the theme is Christmas or Anything Goes. I made a tag or two to get my holiday creative ideas rolling around.

And here you see one of those tags.

As I am in a holiday mood, I've been back to knitting Christmas stockings. I have been doing this for about 5 years now, making 1-2 stockings each year. Come January I  pick up  and put my whole bag of assorted yarns and perhaps a project away, and then come sometime in the fall I pull it out and start again.

I found this one in the bag, almost done. I finished it off.

The photo makes the foot look funny but here it is finished! Not so great a photo.

And here's a couple I've made in past years and haven't done anything with  yet.

When I dig out the other ones I actually hang I will show them to you.

And here's what I am working on right now.  It hasn't been blocked so if you knit you know it doesn't always look smooth.

That's all for me. Have a great end of the week.

  2. Oh Erika what beautiful socks! Are they socks for wearing, or socks for Santa to put presents in?
    Take care,

  3. Groundhog Day!!!
Before reading your post my eyes were glued to "fa la la la" and didn´t Bill Murray scream this in despair in the movie?
    I have to re-watch it.
And I hope the shots help you quickly!
That tag is very cute - and funny. My BIL at age not even three got his finger stuck in a nut-cracker and hence his parents said, be kind OR... the "Nacker" will get you.
If he knew I know this and other embarrassing stories...

Just if you could see my - in such socks covered feet! Ingo´s late Granma found a new hobby due to a wool-accident, if you care see here.

Glad you're getting your appointments out of the way today so you can stay warm and cozy while it snows tomorrow. Hopefully, the weather dudes are wrong. Take care and stay safe

  7. You created a gorgeous tag, dear. It is beautiful and so well done with the lace and stamping.

You are a master of SO MANY things, and the socks show it. I'm in awe of all of these. They would get me out of the winter blues just putting them on.

  9. Those socks are UNBELIEVABLE! I have done one sock in my life (I lost the pattern and the class before I finished the second). But they were variegated yarn, not a pattern. Wow. Impressed.

  16. Love that tag but then I do have a thing about Knussknackers and I loved it when we sent to Germany at Christmas because they had the most spectacular displays of the in the shops. Great background and the lace is the perfect finishing touch.
