Hi everyone. Happy Friday.
It's time once again for Nicole's Friday Face Off and also Gillena's Friday Lunch Breeak . Today let me share some photos from my trip to Bedrock Gardens (my local botanical garden) a few weeks back. There's a lot of faces today!
This first photo is for Iris.
Here's some other faces for you.
And this is the spot where these pig statues were located. That wall in the back is made from sheep's fleece. It's been there for at least 2 years so it's getting a bit grungy up close.
And as many of you know I'm fascinated by bees.
I love the flowing hedge that goes all the way around the hives except for one area where you can walk in near them.
The butterflies were out in full force that day too.
The details on these wings are just amazing.
And there were lots of busy bees of all kinds also.
This is a great little turtle statue.
For those of you who prefer birds over creepy crawlies, let me finish up this post with some Aves.
Have a great start to your weekend.
Beautiful flowers, Erika, and delightful faces!
ReplyDelete...the Bedrock Gardens is on my to see list, thanks.
ReplyDeleteFun post. The red paint on the pigs makes them look creepy. I really like the metal bird sculptures. The first one, chicken, rooster, turkey? looks very happy. Stay dry. Another weekend with rain. What a surprise.

ReplyDeleteI don't think I have ever seen any pig statue..Beautiful nature shots, Erika. Those butterflies are really pretty.
ReplyDeleteAmazing looking pig statues 😄 Beautiful flower photos, too
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the weekend ahead 😘
Great faces Erika !! I think I would enjoy this garden too. The bees are so lovely, and wonderful butterflies with so cute designs in the wings. Don´t know where I have read that we can put apples and suggar on a plate to help bees during the winter.
ReplyDeleteI´m fine Erika, thanks so much for your words. I also hope you are fine, as your lovely family.
I wish you a great weekend, and send big hugs from Almería,
Caty
I love the pig faces and the metal birds.
ReplyDeleteThe bees and butterflies are nice too.
Wow!
ReplyDeleteI just loved everything about this post, so much to see, thank you.
Have a great weekend.
All the best Jan
WoW! Erika these photos are amazing. I love the pig photos. What a great place. Thank you for sharing with FFO and have a lovely weekend.
ReplyDeleteAlways interesting garden photos. We had quite a nail-biter tonight watching the Astros-Ranger game. I'm still sort of stunned we won it. Honey severely cut back our lantana and morning jew, so no more birds, butterflies or bees by the back porch. We're experimenting to see if it'll go dormant for winter. Good weekend, xoxo
ReplyDeleteThis was a fun post and Henry roars a big hi!!
ReplyDeleteThe pigs are fun, too! And the turtle. Oh, I sure would love to visit. As I can´t ... thank you so much for sharing!
The blogger-community really is a great thing! I learn so much here and get to see so much, it´s plain wonderful.
Have a wonderful weekend, Erika, hugs
Those pigs are awesome, they look like they have personalities all their own!
ReplyDeleteYour bee/butterfly garden is such a treat to see. And an inspiration. One of these days I'll figure this out...
ReplyDeleteBees pollinating the beautiful flowers is lovely :)
ReplyDeleteMakes me want to go for a walk at my local park.

ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous post, I can almost hear the buzzing of the bees, hugs, Chrisx
