Here's a scrappy journal page for you today. Spraying and painting-well only some painting but I painted the sun, clouds and water. Its a very summery page. Did you know tomorrow is the first day of summer? Sure you did. What am I even thinking?
My mind is sailing away today. In wrap up mode at work since the kiddies are done. Really, it is almost my summer break. Have to remind myself, doesn't seem like we're actually just about there. So I need to finish up all the loose ends. Cross several more things off the list. The last 2 weeks have flown but not flown at all. So many items to check off! I feel like all I do is complete some task and check it off. Make up work deadline. Grade the make up work. Finals needs to be printed. Finals need to be given and then graded. Need to sign this form. Sign that form. Put books away but first check off the students slips to be sure they returned them. On and on. That's been my week.
And it is Friday and almost the weekend. Do you have any big plans? Not me, but if the weather's nice I am guessing we'll be spending one afternoon out in the boat.
And here's a painted background for a journal page. I painted stripes in lots of directions and then used a die cut scrap as a stencil to paint these flowers. I really like the shape of these flowers. I've used them a lot lately.
There hasn't been a lot of new art this past week. Been busy with the end of school year and all the details that come with that, along with gardening, and just plain coming home and relaxing. Been wrapped up in the book I've been reading, and I've also been feeling a little domestic. Once I get into more of a vacation mode the art will start flowing. And I can't wait for that!
Thanks for stopping by my blog.
