A Tea Question

Happy Tuesday everyone. Time for another version of T for Tuesday on Elizabeth's blog-Altered Book Lover .
Today I have a new Japanese tea pot to show you. Its a little one serving pot. I think its rather cute, and looks very Japanese to me. You take off the head and there's a place to put your tea leaves and steep them. I'n not sure what the head is all about though. The top comes off, maybe to store your tea?  I'd love to know if anyone is familiar with Japanese tea pots and can fill me in.
So yesterday we had some snow- hopefully the last of the season. I don't know whether it was the snow or Monday or what, but I did nothing last night but stare at the tv and then went to bed really early. Hence this very short and uneventful post which I managed to write just before going to bed.
Hopefully I am not getting sick.

    now that's a cute teapot,, my guess would be like yours,, to store the tea,, or is it a cup? on the top, under the lid,,

    HMMM. I have a tea pot that comes apart, but the top is a tea pot and the bottom is a cup. I've never seen one like that before. It's a beauty though.

    I hope you are not ill, because this is the wrong time of year to get sick. Spring colds are the hardest to get rid of for some reason. So please stay well and do all you can to avoid being ill, including drinking plenty of fluids and eating healthy.

    well, i would have thought the head could be the Cup, no? and the top of the head the keeper of the teabag? i´m not an expert on this though...

    What a cute little tea pot! The top bit might be used as a cup... who knows. I am not familiar with Japanese teapots.
    I hope you are not getting ill. But if you do come down with a cold, there is no better time to be in bed than when it snows, lol.
