Doodles and glue

A few pages from my drawing journal that I haven't shown you yet. Just some doodles. Nothing more.
I've been playing around with some  people doodles. Quick figures. Trying to show motion  and body shape. I want to add some bodies into some of my art without adding in detailed faces or portrait style art. I just did these with a black fine tipped marker.

And here's my cover page for the June section of my calendar journal. The textured paper inspired me to make something delicate.
So I can't believe its Friday already. Another week has flown right by. I'm feeling back to my old self after surgery, pretty much. Still can't (or shouldn't) over do it though. And I'm enjoying the gorgeous summer weather we're having by doing a little bit of gardening. That's making me happy!
I'm glad you stopped by to visit.
Enjoy the start of your weekend.

  2. Fabulous journaling as always Erika and I love the doodled people - the one on the far right has to be 'Miss' ready if her pupils step out of line - number 1 and number 3 look suspect and guilty of something :
Lovely journal cover too - good to see you are able to do a little gardening now.
    Have a great Friday ... Gill x

  7. I love your doodles Erika! Now that is something I've not really tried, like you with the ICADs. So much to try, so little time! :-)

  9. Love your planner pages. Love the layout and drawings, plus it is nice to learn a little about you. I also shop in Market Basket. Have you seen the documentary? Do you have a Harley? Love your title page. Happy Friday.

  10. Wonderful art journal pages with all your great sketches. It was good to read that you are feeling much more like your old self, but do take care and don't get doing things that would hamper you health.

  11. Your calendar journal pages put mine to shame. I'm so in awe of your people doodles and how you add bits of drawn items or ephemera along with the text. These are such colorful and enjoyable pages. And your June cover page is gorgeous, too. You are right. It is soft and feminine. Sorry I'm late visiting. My internet let me down, but I'm trying to play catch up.

  13. I think I might recognize that textured paper. I love it. But what I always love so much are your doodle journal pages. The graph checks in the BG and the words, colors and pix always work so well!
