Garden Critters

This post is a little photo heavy. If you aren't an animal person you might not enjoy these snapshots.
I was playing in my yard and garden yesterday. I've been wanting a  zoom lens for my camera for a long time time and I finally broke down and bought one this past week.
I am really happy with it.

I'm still in learning mode.

Good thing its June and there are lots of critters to take photos of. If I keep at it I will see many other visitors to my garden also.

Hope you are having a wonderful weekend.

  4. Those pictures are amazing, especially the bee and hummingbird. I am using my phone as my camera which I love the ease of. I love the idea of a camera with a zoom lens though. I think I would need a class though...still trying to figure out what my camera/phone can do. Thanks for sharing. Have a photo filled weekend.😎

  7. I'd love to see goldfinches, but they never stop by my place on their way through. We get a kick out of our chipmunk antics lol.

You got great shots! So clear! I never get good motion photos, so I appreciate your art here :)

  11. That is one incredible lens. You may say you are still in learning mode, but these are truly incredible shots. The hummingbirds especially thrilled me, because they are a blur most of the time.

Now you'll be getting lots of filters, a fish eye, and a 2X lens to add to this zoom (grin). Guess I've given you some ideas, at least.

  12. Wow! Great photos! I bet you are chuffed (sorry, that means pleased)with your new lense.
I recognised hummingbirds and what looks like a squirrel with stripes. We don't have hummingbirds here and I have never seen one in real life. So it was lovely to see them 'hum' away.

  14. You not only have a fabulous camera, you have a great eye and you know how to use it. Those bird photos are amazing. I've never been able to get a hummingbird and birds in flight are really tough. They're beautiful too, aren't they? Oh, what a great photo shoot. Your chippie is pretty cute, too!
