Hi everyone. I am excited to announce that I've been asked to be a guest designer at Try it On Tuesday for the next couple of weeks. Thanks to all the TIOT Design team members including Avril, Susi, Valerie, Chrissie, Yvonne, Margik, Chris, Lula, and Marjut for this fun opportunity. :)
And the theme for the next fortnight is
STEAMPUNK!
I created a steampunk garden, complete with water faucet, flowers and a butterfly.
I used some paper Prima flowers, a die cut butterfly, some assorted hardware like washers, and a few crafty embellishments like the airplane propellers and some plastic button gears.
Its a little hard to see the details with my dark background so here are a few closeups for you.
Hope you'll join in with the fun and play along with us in the next two weeks.
Stop by the TIOT blog and join us for some steampunk fun!
Wonderful steampunk piece, great to have you as GD at TIOT, have a great day, hugs, Valerie

ReplyDeleteYou capture the theme so well, Erika. I've never been really good with the steampunk style. I love it but I just don't seem to be able to pull anything together without it looking like a big hot mess! I say three cheers!
ReplyDeleteWell, congratulations, dear. I'm impressed they chose you for a second year in a row, and even more impressed with your steampunk garden. Those propellers on the butterfly really show you know how to think outside the box. This is a wonderful entry. Very ingenious.

ReplyDeleteNice work with the steampunk garden - I don't think I've ever seen a steampunk garden, it would make quite a feature. I love the butterfly, he looks quite complex, and of course love all the flowers too. It makes a change to see colourful steampunkness.
ReplyDeleteI forgot to tell you congratulations on being a guest designer! That's terrific!
