Sun and Moon

Hi everyone. It rained and was grey all day today (Thursday), but it looks like it is clearing out this evening. I went on a fun little road trip today. More to come about that another day when I have time to get my photos from my phone to the computer.
Today I have two different art pieces for you. 
First of all, the theme at Try It on Tuesday is Let It Shine. So I have another page from my Night journal that is all about the shine.
Because what else do stars and the moon do but shine?
Here's how it looks if I darken it. You can see the glittery stars even more.
And in my drawing journal I doodled a page about a day at my friend's house on a nearby lake.

I am linking up to Art Journal Journey. This month Elizabeth is our hostess and she has such a fun challenge-Summer Love. Hanging out with friends for a day on the lake is sure summer love in my mind.
I can't believe that this fun challenge for July is almost over, but there's still a few days left to join in.
July always goes by just too fast.

    I love the glittery stars on your page. A little cloudy out, and some stars are visible. A sunny day promised for tomorrow.

    I love your doodle journal. Now, that is a perfect Summer day. Flip flops, sun, lake, and chat, chat, chat made me laugh.

    You are truly making the very most of your vacation this year art wise. It is fun to see what you come up with. Your lovely shine is beautiful. I agree that you have provided a very good example and wonderful entry for TioT.

    I really LOVE your summertime journal page. Now who doesn't believe that flip-flops, suntan lotion, and sunglasses spell summertime fun? This is a fun and joyous entry and I'm simply delighted you shared it with Art Journal Journey (and me!).

    I love the "Shine" piece and it looks terrific darkened.

    We had the same grey and rainy day yesterday - but the weekend shall return heat and summer back again. It's sunny and nice at least today yet! Happy start of your weekend !

    What a brilliant (pun intended) idea sparklering up your moon and stars piece! Very nice. It makes me wish I could see all those sparkles in person. Hanging out at the lake with friends sounds like a lot of fun. Your illustration of that fun is precious. I think we may get some of your rain today or tomorrow. All the grass has dried up in everyone's yards. Living in a house with a well means much water conservation.
