Flowers

Happy Monday everyone. I am back with some art today. Not the most wild art, but a colored page from my calendar journal.
I colored my background and then layered some tissue paper over part of the page. I played around with some TH figures, added a quote and a scrap of book paper, as well as some yellow tape and some small orange gemstones.
And since I am using butterfly wings which are fauna and a bought of flowers which are flora I am going to link up to Jo's great  Flora and Fauna challenge at Art Journal Journey. And the latest challenge at Moo Mania is flowers which I think my page works nicely for also.
And  I finally have some flowers blooming in my garden.
My cherry tree is in bloom.
As well as my daffodils too.
Spring is really here.
Hurrah! Hurrah!

Have a great start to your new week. And thanks for visiting my blog.

  1. What a clever and whimsical journal page. Lots of color made your focal images pop. This is a fantastic page for Jo's theme at Art Journal Journey and I'm delighted you shared it with us.

Spring finally made it to your area, and the colors are so soft and bright. Wonderful photos from your yard, dear.

  4. Lovely to see one of your art pieces again! Those Tim Holtz thingies are always so useful for journal pages I think. Great to see Sprng has reached your part of the world too! We had the most amazing warm and sunny weekend too and I spent most of it outside. Long may it last! Have a good week!

  7. Erika, I love your page, especially the vintage and other-worldly look (with your human butterfly), and the layering of components. I think this is the one that will get me to try layering of tissue paper. I’ve never done that, and I love the effect! You actually colored in all those squares and little diamonds in your background? That looks like tedious art to me, but you surely enjoyed it. I like that you added gemstones, a lot like beading to me. Beautiful page, I’m now following along! Thank you for visiting and commenting on my handmade paper and journal page. I love NH, actually all of New England, and have a daughter in Massachusetts.

  13. Yes Erika, spring or rather nearly summer has finally arrived in NH. We had a couple of days last week with near 90 degree temps. Your blooms look lovely and not seeing many around Nashua yet.
