Tokyo Views

No cropping, no light adjustment, just straight from the camera. Two weeks ago I was walking around Tokyo. It's ONE big city.
Which I am sure you know.
But when you first walk into a big city from not being in a big city, it seems even larger.

Hope you enjoyed these rough views.
Thanks for visiting. Enjoy the start of your weekend.

  2. I'm impressed with how pedestrian-friendly it seems. And I wish we had decent public transportation; it looks like Tokyo is winning at that. Loving your photos!

  4. Wonderful photos even in unedited form. Tokyo is an amazing city, even though at times quite overwhelming... (specially when you are walking around with a 3 and a 4 year old in tow)... but it has some amazing places for kids too. We spent Easter there and had a great time finding Easter eggs in one of the beautiful parks. Despite the many millions of inhabitants they have really tried to make it livable.

  5. Wow, Tokyo look amazing! You have captured some beautiful moments of the people, architecture and artworks in your photos 😁. I love the changes in pace as you look through them and the mixture of old and new buildings is amazing. The mosaic on the all is beautiful too. It looks such a fascinating place with many happy moments to cherish! Thanks for sharing and wishing you a very happy weekend! J 😊 x

  6. Yup, Tokyo looks huge. Reminds me o New York City. You captured some great shots. I love the picture of the picture being taken of the dog statue, the monks at the train/subway station, and the school girls in their uniforms. the round hats and mary jane shoes so cute, but I don't think that would fly with middle schoolers here. Enjoy your day. Stay dry

  7. Great photos Erika - an exciting city to visit - so many different buildings and things to see.
I shall work backwards over the weekend as I've missed a few days of your posts.
Hope you have a lovely weekend.

  8. I know it shouldn't surprise me, but I couldn't help but notice how many people weren't paying attention to anything but their phones. I've seen photos in the past about those streets with their white lines. Yes, I was quite surprised by how dirty/gritty some of Tokyo was. For some reason, I thought it was all high rise, very modern, and glitzy. Just goes to show how perceptions can be swayed by "staged" photos of an area versus "raw" photos. So glad to see Tokyo through your eyes.

  9. DId it feel to you that the crowds were even bigger in Tokyo than NYC? Those are wonderful photos -- you really capture the energy of the city.

  13. Super photos Erika, Tokyo looks a huge city when we see it on TV, it must be overwhelming to see it in real life. A bit to big for me I think.

  14. Glad you got to see it but no thank you. I would go loopy in the crowds. I will have to view it from far away, really far away. xox
