No cropping, no light adjustment, just straight from the camera. Two weeks ago I was walking around Tokyo. It's ONE big city.
Which I am sure you know.
But when you first walk into a big city from not being in a big city, it seems even larger.

I'm impressed with how pedestrian-friendly it seems. And I wish we had decent public transportation; it looks like Tokyo is winning at that. Loving your photos!

ReplyDeleteWonderful photos even in unedited form. Tokyo is an amazing city, even though at times quite overwhelming... (specially when you are walking around with a 3 and a 4 year old in tow)... but it has some amazing places for kids too. We spent Easter there and had a great time finding Easter eggs in one of the beautiful parks. Despite the many millions of inhabitants they have really tried to make it livable.

I love the picture of the picture being taken of the dog statue, the monks at the train/subway station, and the school girls in their uniforms. the round hats and mary jane shoes so cute, but I don't think that would fly with middle schoolers here. I know it shouldn't surprise me, but I couldn't help but notice how many people weren't paying attention to anything but their phones. I've seen photos in the past about those streets with their white lines. Yes, I was quite surprised by how dirty/gritty some of Tokyo was. For some reason, I thought it was all high rise, very modern, and glitzy. Just goes to show how perceptions can be swayed by "staged" photos of an area versus "raw" photos. So glad to see Tokyo through your eyes.
