T Stands for T Art

Hi everyone. Happy Tuesday.
Since last week things have been a bit up and down in my world. A birthday (the up)  and then coming down with  either a virus or a reaction to an allergy shot. Or something.  It's taken me a few days to start to feel more like myself, which meant this past weekend was rather uneventful unless you count the all the time I spent lounging on the couch exciting. (Although I must say it was nice getting the hubby to fix dinner-smile).
But at least I didn't have the flu or Covid-19. Hopefully, that statement won't change in the near future-or far future either.
And now I am back to work and getting back into the swing of things, slowly.
So for T this week I have a page from my 1957 Irish travel journal. This journal was a recent project I made. The idea is that a teenage girl who goes to visit her extended family in Ireland in 1957, and then when she comes home, she made this trip journal.  I had bought a small packet of St. Patrick's Day paper and ephemera on ETSY for a few dollars and along with some of the materials in my stash, I managed to make this page. Since there is a couple of tea pots, as well as a spoon sticker I had, I think it is perfect for T Day.  Please stop by  Bleubeard and Elizabeth's blog to see what the T Gang folks have been up to.                           .
This page is green so I am also going to link it up to Eileen's latest challenge at Art Journal Journey.
And since I was sick I haven't yet gotten through my New Mexico photos. One of these days I shall get to them, as long as nothing else gets in the way. Then I can show you more than just a tease in the last 2 weeks for T.

This will be a short T Day post as I am pretty wiped out tonight, but hope yours is a good one. And as always, thanks so much for visiting my blog.

OMGosh, Erika. Why didn't I know you were sick? Where have I been? For one thing, I bragged to Valerie how happy I was that my internet hadn’t gone out due to the storms that raged through my area off and on yesterday. Seems I spoke too soon. I finally gave up and went to sleep. I'm not sure what else I've missed, though.

This is going to be a remarkable journal. I love how you integrated this with the shamrocks and teapot. That is an incredible spoon, too. You certainly have given this young lady something to work on, since I know how much YOU like to make travel journals once you are home.

Thanks for sharing this lovely travel journal page with us at both Art Journal Journey using Eileen's theme, and T Stands For Tuesday with your teapot.

BTW, I saw your question about Museum Day. I already have my ticket to my next adventure. I just hope the museum isn't too busy, since I got it before the COVID-19 scare was so prevalent. We got one case in KC this weekend. Too bad it couldn't have been on the MO side, rather than the KS side. I think our governor is conferring with Kathleen Sebelius, our governor before she became Sec of HHS under Obama. Feel better soon, dear friend.

S glad you are well on the way to being better. Think I mentioned a happy birthday to you in an earlier posting because I remarked on how close our two birthdays are and that we are both Pisceans.
Lovely Irish page, lots of green which is the colour one always associates with irish things and I must say I do love the teapot. Very elegant! Great story attached to it - the picture tells it well.
If I was you I would stay well and get hubby to fix dinner at weekend so you can rest on the couch again (tee hee).
Hugs, Neet xx

So sorry to hear you've not been well - hope you're feeling back on form properly soon.

I love this page - what a wonderful idea behind it - the 1950s teenager gathering her memories and mementos of her exciting trip. Just delightful, and the perfect clover paper scraps to add detail.
