Hi everyone. Happy Halloween to you. It's going to be very warm this year for Halloween; it's even quite warm comparably this morning. Makes me want it to be spring-grin. And have you heard of Trunk or Treat? That was a new one for me. If you haven't heard of it, it's where a public place is picked, people go and park their cars there, and then kids walk around the cars and trick or treat out of the trunks.
Today my post is a collection of photos to celebrate Halloween. I will also be linking this post up to tomorrow's Friday Face Off over at Nicole's website, Gillena's Friday Lunch Break, and to Bleubeard's and Elizabeth's Second on the Second which goes live on Saturday. I guess you could say it's a bit of a hodgepodge post. π
But first of all, let me show this fantastic Halloween card I received from Elle in Scotland.
These next 4 photos are related to last Friday's post (Fairy Houses) when I shared some of the fairy houses under construction at my local botanical garden (Bedrock Gardens in Lee, New Hampshire). These photos are not fairy houses, but some large fairies as well as the moon. These fairies are also some clever tree decorations and faces too.
Our neighbourhood now has very few young children, so Halloween is largely unmarked by trick or treaters at the door. I hope they all have fun, however. All the best - David
ReplyDeleteTrunk or Treat, FUN!
ReplyDeleteGreat happy-mail, too.
And the spooky art - have a happy Halloween, hugs!!! Boo.
...Bedrock Gardens looks spooktacular.
ReplyDeleteIt's been a little warm lately, much better than the hot first days of this month!
ReplyDeleteThanks for showing my card, glad you liked it but even more glad that it arrived before Halloween lol. Wow some of those tree people look quite real don't they, and I love that moon. I also love all of your second look pages, some of which I remember and some are new to me. Have a Happy Halloween!
ReplyDeleteWow -- the photos are terrific. They do an amazing job there. And all your art makes me smile! Happy Halloween!
ReplyDeleteI love your spooky artwork especially the black cat. The moon sculpture is awesome and what a cool way to decorate trees. I'll have to show that to Himself for next year. With the warm temps today, it doesn't feel like Halloween. No cold, biting rain, or even a blizzard, and always having to cover up your Halloween costume with a winter coat. Enjoy the warm and Happy Halloween!
ReplyDeleteSome great Halloween pages and I really love the artwork in botanical garden.
ReplyDeleteHave a safe and fun Halloween!
Lovely Halloween art over the years!
ReplyDeleteWow! So love your post today with so much Halloween art! I don't know where to begin, but can I just say that I love them all?! The vintage papers and the creepy older photos are so fun to play with! I'm in love the witches under the moon! Iowa has done a "beggar's night" since like 1954 or something like that. They don't do it ON Halloween, but the night before...However, this year they canceled due to rain and ended up doing it today which is the first time they've ever done it on Halloween since they started the "beggar's night"...so weird to me. I think we still do the trick-or-treating on Halloween here. Thanks for the great inspiration!
ReplyDeleteWhat a super Halloween post this is.
ReplyDeleteOut earlier and there were quite a few families with children dressed as witches, ghouls etc ... they seemed to be having a fun time.
Happy Halloween and happy new month of November wishes.
All the best Jan
How sweet of Elle to send that card. Love the postage stamps, too.
ReplyDeleteI remember many of those pages you showed for your second look. So glad you shared them with us. I can't begin to imagine I could ever pick a favorite.
I hope your Halloween was as fun as your second look, Erika.
The tree decorations are really amazing π€©
ReplyDeleteYour art collection of spooky works are great and fun ππΌππ
I wish your weekend with Halloween excitement is super enjoyable, my friendπππ°
Love all the Hocus Pocus!
ReplyDeleteOMGosh!!!!!!! I love this post!!!!!! Every photo surprised and made me happy as I scrolled down. The moon face is fabulous. Thank you for sharing with FFO and have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteGreat Halloween pages.
ReplyDeletesome wonderful artworks. Magnifique !
ReplyDeleteSome really great pages, I do remember some on first look. I don't know why but not into Halloween this year. It rained and nobody came by, thankfully. Love those tree people photos, that would be fun to dress one up in the front yard like that. We had a Trunk or Treat at our mall for years, now all the churches hold festivals. Most people quit decorating their yards because of theft, so sad but true. XOX
