It's November

Hi everyone. Happy November to you.  The year is flying by so quickly, and now we are winding down a bit towards winter, at least here in New Hampshire where I live.

I want to thank Elle for hosting  at Art Journal Journey last month. It was fun to play around with lots of Halloween and Steampunk themed journal pages.  And I also want to thank everyone who joined in. There were so many creative takes on this challenge that I enjoyed visiting everyone. And Elle, thanks for not only sharing some cool pages, but thanks for being a great host.

Now that it's a new month, it's time for us at Art Journal Journey to welcome a new host. This month we are welcoming back  the talented Wendy, who you either know through her Thursday Dylusions challenge  or through her blog Wendy's Arts and Crafts Journal. Wendy has hosted for us before, and we're happy to have her back.

For November, Wendy chose the theme: A MOMENT IN TIME.  You just need to make your page relate to time somehow, whether it is clocks, calendars, or words that mean time. Wendy explained it well over at the AJJ blog so be sure to check it out.

For my first page I chose an autumn theme, because autumn is a moment ( well several moments) in time or at least a season in time. I used some scraps to make the background, die cut a bottom border and used the other edge on the top left of the page. Then I added a bunch of ephemera, including that cool spiral clock sticker I found in my stash. I also used some postmarks which mark the time that something was posted in the mail. I added a couple of mushroom washi stickers, including the one I put on top of the spiraling clock.

Please don't forget that ART JOURNAL JOURNEY is an art journaling blog and we don't accepts cards, tags, ATCs, etc, UNLESS you have them on a journal page. As you know, this challenge runs for the entire month of November. I can't guarantee that  if you link up through a social media platform we'll be able to comment on your link because we don't all belong to all of the platforms. If you could link through a  blogging platform we can visit you.

I hope you're as excited as Elizabeth, Mia and I am for this challenge, and we hope to see you over at AJJ this month.

What a fun way to start this month. I love your idea of using calendar parts and postage stamps. Very creative and fun to see. I really LOVE that spiraling clock. I'm a bit envious. Thanks for this great first entry using Wendy's theme at AJJ.

I especially love this piece, Erika. The colors, the clock, the "movement" of it all.

I think you captured November and Fall perfectly. I'm usually not drawn to those orange/brown/rust colors but on your page they are striking. Enjoy the last of the daylight savings time.
