Hi everyone. Happy new week to you.And it is also time for T again over at Bleubeard's and Elizabeth's blog.
I've been sharing my September trip to Quebec with you, and today we are still on the far end of the Gaspe peninsula, a short distance north from Perce which was last week's T day post. (You can find that post here if you're interested: Perce.) Most of today's photos are from a Canadian National Park we visited called Forillon National Park. What a gorgeous place. We only spent a day there, but I wish we had one more day because there was a trail (or 2) I wanted to walk that we just didn't have time for.
Today's photos are only from one small area at the park's northern end which is called Cap-Bon-Ami.
This is Cap des Rosier lighthouse which is a tiny bit further north than Cap-Bon-Ami. Google posted the photo a bit out of order.
Anyhow, back at Cap-Bon-Ami.
This little white throated sparrow ignored me being fairly close so I was able to snap a few very nice photos.
And if I hadn't been talking with a woman from Ottawa I might have missed these seals sunning themselves on the rocks. She pointed them out to me. We saw a lot of seals on our trip, both before and after seeing this little pod. But these made the best photo.
Here's Cap des Rosiers lighthouse again, this time with a view from Cap-Bon-Ami.
And finally a view from a high spot, looking northwest.
These are just a few photos, but for the sake of not making this post a book, I'll have more park photos in another post. Plus I need my drink for T.
We never really had lunch that day except for a few snacks so by late afternoon we were hungry. We drove out of the park and headed past the cabin where we were staying to see if we could find a place for a meal. We did end up finding this microbrewery that served food, and it ended up being a good choice for dinner. Not only was the food delicious, but it was full of locals which is always a good sign. Here's my husband being a goof-ball outside of the front entrance.
This next photo shows my dinner (which came quicker than my husband's so he ended up eating a fair bit of it). It also shows our drinks. For dinner I had some pulled pork poutine, poutine being a specialty of Quebec. Basic poutine (which I believe is pronounced pou-tin but I've heard it pronounced several ways) is French fries, cheese curds and gravy, This time they substituted pulled pork for the gravy, and it was delicious! I've actually had more traditional poutine here in New Hampshire because some restaurants serve it.
My husband opted for a lighter lager on the left, which was this microbrewery's best seller. He got a big glass. I actually had 2 different beers in small glasses and I opted for 2 different beers, a red and also a brown.
This next photo is not very good, but it's the floor at the microbrewery, which I thought was very unique and quite a fun floor. All those little circles are beer bottle tops.
And in case you missed any of the other parts of my trip and if you are interested, here's the links:
That's all for me today. I hope everyone has a happy T day and week ahead.

That's a neat floor, enjoyed the photos. -Christine cmlk79.blogspot.com
...I love poutine, but my cardiologist wouldn't be pleased to know this!!!
What an amazing park. I loved the shale rocks. Very beautiful and rather stark beauty.
I had a big smile at your husband standing in the doorway of that brewery. I've never had poutine, but it's something I hope to try some day. I like when you go to a microbrewery and get all the different beers. No one wants the stout, so they give them to me (grin).
Thanks for sharing this leg of your trip and your poutine and various beers with us for T this nearly Tuesday, dear Erika.
The area looks quite grey and moody, but still very beautiful!
A great place to visit, thank you for sharing.
Cap-Bon-Ami sounds très jolie. And I love light-houses.
Looking forward to more!
Fun pic of your hubby. And the food looks yummy, too, as do the beers.
Don´t drink too much with that floor there, LOL.
Have a great T-Day, hugs.
I have spent many happy hours in Forillon National Park, Erika. Once I even led an impromptu bird walk there. There was an organized walk with one of the park naturalists, but it was conducted in French so there were those who were unable to follow what he was saying. I suggested to him that I could break off the English speakers and follow behind him, interpreting as we went. Pretty soon we lagged behind and basically did our own tour. It worked very well and a few were even impressed that I knew the birds in both languages! Add the scientific name and I guess that makes three! As for poutine, as a person who lived in Québec I have more than a passing acquaintance with this artery-clogging plate of delight. There is a little hole in the wall in Gatineau where poutine has been perfected to Michelin star quality. The owners are getting quite ancient, however, and I suspect soon it will change hands. Will the quality stay the same? We’ll have to wait and see. All the best - David
Hi Erika, I love the photos. The food looks yummy, however it's pronounced! Those rock formations by the shore are very fascinating. And nic e to see your husyband having fun! Happy T Day - Prost! - Hugs!
Wow -- I need to try to catch up on your Quebec posts. You're in an area I've not been and would love to explore more. The pork poutine sounds like a great idea -- different and very tasty (what's not to love about pulled pork and fries?!) It looks like a terrific trip.
Looks like a wonderful place to visit, I love being by the sea and those rock formations are amazing 😊. Loving the beers, like you I would like to try two different ones and wow, that fries, cheese curds and gravy is enormous - I've never had that before but would give it a try ...lol 😆. Happy T Day wishes! Hugs, Jo x
Wow, what gorgeous views indeed! I love the way those rocks formed along the shore! I love being out in nature and I'm sure it would've been a wonderful walk to take! TFS!
Your landscapes and seascapes are breathtaking. I really enjoyed your post.

Oh what a lovely area! I love the geology of course. A brasserie in a brewery can't be bad. I always like to try new beers (or ones that are new to me).
The meal sounds interesting, but I don't think it would be my favorite. I'm not keen on gravy and I would never order chips in a restaurant (Too fatty, I only eat chips I make myself in my air fryer.Yes, I know, I'm a fussy eater)
The bottle top floor is amazing!
Happy T-Day,
Lisca
That floor is amazing isn't it.
All the best Jan
Gorgeous photos. I have never had pooh-teen. They lost me at cheese curds. Happy T Day
No wonder hubby helped with that dinner. It's enormous.
The photos are fabulous - the rock formations - nothing short of fabulous and the photo you took of the water dripping is prize entry level. You have a good eye and, I think, a good camera.
Hugs, Neet xx
LOL okay, this is MY place since it has my name in it. Fab photos as always. And we serve that dish you ate down here, it's called Texas Poutine (pronounced here poo-teen), and it's a layered dish. Crispy crinkle fries on bottom, then melted white queso cheese, then the pulled pork, then topped with BBQ sauce. And jalepeno slices garnish optional. Tex-Mex meets BBQ. And delish when it's hot and fresh. That's a great pic of your hubby and that floor is cool, too. XOX
