Hi everyone. Happy Wednesday. Today is my husband and my 37th wedding anniversary. Time sure does fly by. 😏 I'm not sure if we'll do anything exciting to celebrate, but maybe this weekend.
Today I want to share 2 pages from the little Halloween Party book I am making. The book is a mix of party pages and some pages about the guests who attend. Today's pages are both about party guests and are more traditional Halloween style pages.
This first page used several TH images (the boy, the wings and the moon). I added them to an inked background and also used a light blue marker to color in the boy's eyes. I don't think he'd be half as scary without any color in his eyes. If he only knew I turned him into an immortal soul and that he lives on as a Tim Holtz art supply.
I added a bit of washi tape along the bottom, and then I took an old book and cut out the quote. I chose this book (whose language is Icelandic) because it looks more magical to my eye than English would. I translated it and found out it says: when it is right, listening faces, master. I had to smile because I didn't translate these words until I wrote this post, and they actually work pretty well with this image. (That is is the translation is correct.)
This second page has a little more creative effort behind it. 😏 I first stamped the witch and the background around her (an old Stampendous image) directly onto the inked age. Then I stamped the same image on acetate. I glued the acetate image down over the stamped image to 1) make it stand out a bit and 2) to create a bit of shadow.
I added some fabric trim to the right hand edge. The skeleton paper on the far right is actually the page behind this one, and I like how it sticks out a bit creating more interest at that edge.
I once again used a bit of washi tape on the bottom, and then I added this chipboard gargoyle that I found in my stash. I left the gargoyle unfinished. I finished this page with the quote that is stamped on some slightly off white paper and cut before being glued on my page.
That's all for me today. I hope the middle of your week is going well.

These are great! I agree about using Icelandic--it adds another layer of mystery (unless the viewer reads Icelandic, of course!). The quote on the bottom one made me laugh.
And a very, very happy anniversary!!! May you have many more happy years together!
I like the witch in the mirror...very spooky and fun.
All the best to you two on your wedding anniversary!
Your spooky pages are pure works of art, the way you crafted them is wonderful.
