Faces for Friday

Hi everyone. It's the end of another busy week. Hope yours has been a good one. We've gone from some warmth to now some chillier than normal weather, at least at night.  Brr. Since I scheduled this yesterday I'm not certain but the weather people predicted we could have our first frost overnight.

Today I have several faces for Nicole's Friday Face Off. I'll also be linking a up to Gillena's Friday Lunch Break.

Let me start with a few faces from when we were at Acadia National Park in Maine last month.

These first 2 are some animals we saw on our Friday evening drive. (Here's the post about that drive if you're interested:Acadia national Park part 1.) I was lucky because the fox ran across the road and stopped just under some trees once off the road. The camera was already in my hands and ready to shoot so I managed to get a nice photo of him (or her). This next one is Mr. Pete who  thought he might have a bed to himself that night at the hotel.  Ha ha.  Sadly he didn't get his wish, but he did get a nice snuggle.

Let me finish this post with this creepy witch face art journal page that I recently made in my Halloween journal.

Do you recognize the witch's face? You probably know about the Tragedy and Comedy masks that you often see in theaters.

I stamped a Tragedy mask on some gold metallic paper and then fussy cut it. I stamped, colored and fussy cut the hat, and then to fix the space between the hat and the head I added some grey threads. The threads were actually part of some holiday decor netting you could buy, but I've been chopping mine up for a few years now.  I created the eyes by adding in some small flat back black gemstones and them popping a dot of white paint on them.

I finished by adding the wooden kitty (I painted her), some sticker quotes and finally some black design tape along the bottom.

I'm linking this face up to Elle's Steampunk, Halloween or Halloween Steampunk challenge at Art Journal Journey.

That's all for me today. Have a great start to your weekend.

That fox is so skinny...No wonder Mr. Pete wanted the whole bed for himself :-) So comfy!

Yeah for cooler evening temps in NH, which are perfect sleeping weather now! We never saw any wildlife on the couple of times we have been through Acadia, so lucky you, Erika.

Adorable faces especially Mr. Pete. Look at that smile. Are you going to get the heavy rains and winds from the Nor'easter? I better get outside and take pictures of the leaves before they're all blown away.

That Tragedy mask and your loose "mop" threads are genius! First time I think I've ever seen that mask used for Halloween, and how lucky you are to have a stamp that size! I bet it's very old. The oldies are indeed goodies. Great nature photos, too. Hope your weather does what you want it to! Have a good weekend, xoxo

Wow that fox's tail is amazing! Love your page, the wooden kitty and those cats in the hats on your background. Didn't guess that it was a tragedy mask but I see it now of course. Poor Pete, having to share the bed with the pesky humans. Thanks for joining in with my theme this month, elle xx

I feel sorry for foxes. They have been hunted in England to near extinction. What a great shot of that fox. Pete looks happy, too.

Goodness. That is one scary tragedy witch. Loved the black cat. This is a great entry for Elle's theme at AJJ.
