Flying South

I don't know why I made a migration journey page with a fall background, but I did, and here it is.  Valerie at Bastelmania made a great bird migration page and posted it the other day. She also linked up to Art Journal Journey.  This month the theme at AJJ is journeys and since migration is journey,  it works perfect for this theme. We have 2 more weeks of the month there's still lots of time for you to join in with your own journey pages.
Here's a couple of close ups for you.
So this past Saturday was absolutely gorgeous-nothing like my page for certain. I took my family out to dinner which I'll share with you tomorrow. Afterward eating, we went for a little walk along the lake by the restaurant.
That's the hubby and my daughter sitting at the picnic table. I know the hubby is dreaming about boating. Even though it was cold yesterday (certainly not the day Saturday was), he was out cleaning his boat so maybe, hopefully, if the weather cooperates, we might get out boating next weekend. Those of you who haven't known me for a long time may not know that my hubby is addicted to boats. We go exploring many different places by boat during the warm weather, and I'm sure I'll be posting tons of boating photos over the boating season. (Oh no, prepare yourself .)
And this crab apple tree was just gorgeous.
This is just a small bay on this lake.
But if  my dog can go for swim, she's happy!
New week ahead.  Hope yours is  good one.

Love the journal page, the autumn background is fitting as many of the birds migrate then. Their migration is for me one of the most fascinating things there are. Great photos, too, I look forward to seeing your boat photos. I miss the sea here, but at least I have the Rhine. My doggy always liked swimming too. Have a lovely day, hugs, Valerie

Flying South looks like a wonderful journey in what you created Erika.
Love all the details very much.
Fun to see your surroundings.
I am not much of sailor mainly due to motion sickness but I Love the water and boats always fascinate me too.

Not sure how I missed this, but I love the geese flying south. Unfortunately, they seem to stick around in my neighborhood. I LOVE the trees with the little birds in them, and the deer in the distance. What a wonderful autumn scene.

I remember the first time I saw your blog, you were sharing weekend water shots. I thought what a wonderful way to spend a weekend, because there is not much water in my area. Loved seeing your dog ready to swim, too.
