it will be 3 years since Dad passed away. I know I am not a big public crier, and its hard to talk about...but I miss him still very much and there's lots of stories I would love to hear again- even though I heard them a million times and rolled my eyes when he started to tell them. I wish he was around to look at my photos and my scrapbooks. Because he always did look. He loved my dog and my daughter and he even liked Dave a lot- unlike mom who really doesn't...and I know he hated the way his lfie ended getting weaker and weaker, and there are things he did that really pissed me off, but he was my dad- and I miss you a lot Dad.
I can't believe its been 3 years.
I love you Dad.

Wrapping up September
Fall is back-which wonderful. Today I never left the house- cleaned and did laundry a bit- but the house was very hairy from the 3 critters and needed a good vaccing. Vacuuming is
actually relaxing when I'm not pressed and have to do it. PLus the house looks great now- at least the floor does. There's still stuff here and there- the usual clutter. Then I made cards- mom's and Josh's birthdays, my wedding anniversay, my aunt Jean and Uncle Herbie's 50th wedding anniversary, started Katie birthday-her 16th, and stil need to make Dave's birthday card- October is about to be a busy busy month. I was definately in a card making mood today. Spent my entire afternoon playing- then a good long nap, and now we've had dinner and its night and watching this movie the kids at school told me to watch -think its 28 days. Of course they want me to watch it so we can watch it in class since its about infection and epidemics, but the box showed it more of a horror flick, so we'll see. Anything that they don't have to work to hard- though they will.Thursday, September 27, 2007
Thursday night
Thursday night- been a busy week. Hot, humid...and its suppose to be fall-which means cool and colored leaves and temperatures about 75...we've been close to 90 yesterday and today-and humid. Last night was open house at school...got home late and...tomorrow we have progress reports so been busy grading and doing grades. Tonight we're watching Knocked up- don't know what I expected but its not as funny as everyone said- maybe its my mood right now...took a 2 hour nap when I got home...
So have been checking out other blogs- love doing that and seeing what other artists are up to. Found some excellent blogs- makes mine look pretty blah...blah...blah

Now need to go back and finish reading London, for my trip, and tomorrow- I get paid...yahoo!

Friday-Hooray
I love Friday. Today was beautiful- went downtown Portsmouth with some folks after work and had sangria on the deck at Poco's, a local Mexican place, laughed and relaxed. It was great to enjoy the sunny summer-like weather after some cool days earlier this week and last week. Also managed to get all of my grading done before left school today- that is a treat in itself to come home grading free for the weekend- because even if you don't do it, you know its there and it kind of nags at you a bit...
Anyhow, some more photos of my Ireland/Antrim Coast scrap book I am working on. Enjoy!

Saturday...reality versus memory lane
We trucked down to Nashua today to go to Trader Joe's and Costco- spent a fortune but am stocked up on some food and cleaning supplies and all that kind of stuff. We had an early dinner at T-Bones and then came home and unloaded and brought in the plants because it is CHILLY tonight and I want to save some of my plants from the frosties. Anyhow, more Italy pictures to share-even though it they are 2 almost 2 1/2 years old. Love them though. They are definately more excting than photos of laundry detergent, fish and chai- a cup of chai would taste great right now, along with my apple pie piece I brought home from T Bones. Rewatching last night's episode of Dr. Who-BLINK- with those freaky angels, they kepy Katie up last night. Boy, that was a great episode.

Dr Who
I am watching this weird episode of Dr. Who- season 3- David Tenet (he's great as the Dr., and very cute), and there's all these angel statues, and they keep moving around and changing- with their eyes covered, with their hand pointing, kind of spooky really. They're in one spot, then another... so now I need to post my statue from Powerscourt Gardens in Ireland- its near Enniskerry. I love these photos. She's my angel for today.

Another Beautiful Fall Day
Yes, we still have a few more leaves- this was my house last fall, but it was same kind of sky and the same warmth- so by 4 p.m. you need a sweater but at noon you don't. Walked again after work- I love it! Wouldn't it be so nice to have a fantasy life where I didn't need to run to work so early in the morning and I could walk at 7 before work? Wish I was at a place I could reorganize my life. But I am soooo broke, need to pay off some bills and LONDON (which is a great bill to have because I am so excited). Wouldn't be nice not to have to work, to make a decent living selling art and to be able to spend lots of hours in my studio, and wouldn't it be nice to be stay at home mom, not that I believe I missed anything much with Katie, but its the guilt when you can't work - I have always put my baby first. Oh, to have a flexible schedule, to be able to enjoy this great weather all day...
Now I do love my job, and it does give me money- maybe not enough, but enough. And I like the people I work with and except for getting up and the icky commute, that part is my own fault for not finding a job closer to home. But to have time to enjoy this weather- to go places when I want to on a beautiful day- like down to walk the beach...
Reflections. Its nice to do as long as you don't let it get you down.

getting back into knitting
I go through spells. When I scrap a lot of pages. When I do no art. When I make cloth books. When I do ATCs or alter books. And, when I KNIT! I started this cool Rowen, Kaffe Fassett sweater last fall and winter- Foolish Virgins, which I may never finish as it is VERY technical and I need major concentration to do it- no not watching your knitting and watching a movie...
anyhow- as it is cooling it, it is time to to bring out the sweater, finish a few scarfs- time to KNIT!
Yes, I need to take some photos of all these projects. I did find this blog where someone actually completely knitted and finished this awesome sweater- my colors are different as I didn't do a kit or Rowen yarn, can't wait to show you !

Can you tell...
I haven't taken many photos lately- though I have been busy scrap booking pictures from Ireland- doing photos from our day in the north- but of course I need to photograph them and I'll then post them.(And I will, they are great-it was gorgeous on the Antrim coast).
So maybe few more Italy photos, since I took like 1100 when we were there.
Forum and below, in Rome but not the Forum.
Wow, grooves made from chariots driving over the street- 2000 years old- wow!Dave and Katie at the St. Peter's Square- we were there right after Pope Benedict XVI was installed.
