Paper Dolls-Part 2

YAHOO! It is Friday. This has been a killer week for me and I am exhausted right now.
But luckily I get Monday off for the 3 day long Columbus Day weekend and that makes me very happy.
BIG SMILE!
So I've still been playing with paper dolls. I think watching Project Runway has inspired me. As Tim Gunn  would say "Make it work."
This background (above) looks rather like a blocky quilt. The fabric idea fits the theme of this page. I like that background.
I don't really like my writing and kind of want to go back and write all over the background. Maybe I still will. I think right now the writing is too splotchy-not enough of it overall but too much of it on one side.
Here's another paper doll in another journal layout.
The idea for this page was inspired from the background I was using. I often make a bunch of backgrounds ahead of time and then can  create the pages when I'm ready. All the little black triangles reminded me of night, and the white edges reminded me of day, and since we're in the Halloween season, and I am a little obsessed...you get the picture about the title of this page.
I am getting more adventurous with my paper dolls as I play more. Now I am switching around heads and bodies.
Here's the stamp image I used from Stampotique for both of these journal pages.
It gives new life to my stamps to alter them like this.
And it is so much fun too!
So I did a lot of stenciling with paint on these backgrounds. I also used some Pan Pastels, which are new to me. I bought a set of dark colors and I am really liking them! I put off buying some for a very long time because with these multiple colored media,  I can't just buy one or two.  I must have a big selection of colors. (The same thing happened with Copic Markers and with Liquitex paints, Dylusions spray inks, along with a few other items too!  No wonder I don't have a lot of space in my little studio!)
So my only weekend plan is to take a little road trip with my daughter to go shopping. Well, she wants to do the shopping and I am planning on stopping at my Mom's on the way since it will be her birthday on Sunday. She told me she has stopped counting or caring about birthdays. She will be 85.
I think at 85 I would be more excited with an attitude like " I made it this far and so everything is just frosting on the cake", but that's not my mom.
Who knows how  I will really be at 85.
That's it for me today.
Make it a good one!

It's great how you altered the stamped images and made them your own. The first one is my favorite!
