Warped Page

OK, this page has a bit of a warp to it. I used a lot of spray inks on it and  then the paper didn't dry very smooth. Guess I could have flattened it out before I snapped this photo, but I didn't-as you can tell. Ha-ha.
So this besides spray inks, this page uses stamps, a homemade butterfly stencil, a Crafter's Workhop stencil, some Copic markers, a die cut bird and and some free hand cut leaves and stem. The big flower was the painted Crafter's Workshop stencil (Julie Fei-Fan Balzar) that I then cut out and doodled all over. Then it was colored and painted with some SILKS paints. I finally added the die cuts in the center. Oh yes, and some paint and Stickles dots there too.
I guess you could say this page evolved as it went along.

So the sashing ceremony went off without any hitches last night (see yesterday's post for an explanation), and today we have a big assembly at the end of the school day to honor all the graduating seniors. Kind of a lot to sit through, but it is nice for the kids.
Then tomorrow is graduation, and after that, it is really wind down mode for the other kids. (Next Friday!!!)
I can't wait.

I've already started in on some summer reading too.
Because I really want vacation to be now.
Hope its not too spooky. The dripping blood on the cover makes me a little worried, but Stephen King is always a good weaver of interesting yarns.
And a couple of illustrated cookbooks.
This one is right in season.  I think a few picnics would be perfect this summer! And the book is charming, and there are some recipes I need to try this summer.
I am not interested in meeting men in bars with a  cake, and I will admit, the title kind of made me not want to read this, but there are some cute illustrations and some very yummy sounding recipes.  My first try is going to be a strawberry champagne cake.
Sounds delicious.

That's all for me.  I am off to work!
Thanks again for stopping by.

I can imagine how much you are waiting for vacations. When I was teaching I used to count the days, too. Love your journaling, as always. Have fun with your reading - I haven't read that one of Stephen King, but his books are always enthralling! Hugs, Valerie

Nice summer reading, will have to check out the Picnic book. Love your happy warped page. You can always iron it to flatten under an old towel, that works, but it's wonkiness is kind of charming. xox
