The trees were decorated and the lights were on in Boston the other day when we went in for my husband's doctors appointment. After the appointment we walked down to Faneuil Hall and then down along the waterfront.
This pink Christmas tree caught my eye.
I altered this photo a bit to make the lights stand out. The bricks aren't that orange! (But how cool if they were!) I also lightened up the photo below so the sky has no color, nor does the building. But I like it better that way! It looks more like winter rather than the grey and later rainy day we had. But at least it was 57 degrees-though a bit raw!
This street was prettier than the photo shows. The wreathes looked so much bigger to my naked eye. But this is such a pretty row of brownstones!
I think Christmas is pretty in the city, even if it doesn't feel cold enough to be Christmas! Unlike the country where the lights are more scattered, in the city there seems to be lights, trees, wreaths and all every place.
And this was the most amazing sight. We've had such a mild fall right through this month, there were still roses blooming!
Not very holiday at all but still, really beautiful!
That's all for me today. Hope your weekend is starting off in a good way!

Such a lovely tour around Boston and those late roses are simply wonderful Erika. I picked the last raspberries 4 weeks ago, so you can tell that our winter is mild too :)
Have a wonderful weekend sweetie!
Love and hugs

I only visited Boston once for three days while I took a tour of MIT for grad school. I admit seeing these lovely photos brings back memories of my trip, but they are far more pleasant and festive than the Boston I remember. I remember that everywhere I went, the people were stuck up and snotty. I got a very bad vibe from Boston, even though I would probably have lived in Cambridge.
As I said, your photos are gorgeous and show the festive and holiday side of Boston I didn't get to know.
Hope your weekend is going well!
Love the beautiful photos of Boston, and the tasteful decorations, it all looks very elegant. Glad you were able to be out and about there, and hope the appointment went well. tHE PINK TREE IS FUN, There are a lot of flowers still blooming here, too, and the lawn is full of daisies and dandelions, together with fungi and pine cones - a strange mix! Have a lovely day, hugs, Valerie
Wonderful photos of Boston - very festitive! Thank you very much !
Thanks for the shots of the city. Nice views all around. xox
How special to see Boston all decked out and twinkly.
Thanks so much for sharing your photos.
Boston is on our bucket list.
Since I have a thing for swans we wanted to visit in summer for a little boat ride maybe :-)
We did a drive by in nearby Wash DC and thought how not lit up most areas looked. We may have to give that another whirl. It was one of the handful of frigid nights we have had.
On Wed it may reach 75 here in northern VA.
