Happy Wednesday! Today I am participating in Elizabeth's (of Bleubeard and Elizabeth) monthly link up called Second on the Second. Its a great chance to take another view of something you made in the past.

I am going back to last December when I kept a holiday journal with full sized pages and also some of these little plastic slide pages. It was a blast to make these little mini 2x2, 4x4 or 4x2 inch little pieces. Fast, fun, and also a good way to play with a series of related cards for each plastic page.
I actually made a back side to each page too. It allowed me to use fewer plastic sheets.
Not all of my pages were using this style.. I also made some full sized pages.
I was debating whether to do another journal this year. But since I've done one for a few years I am going to take a break and work on some other projects. But who knows, I may change my mind.
Not much else new here. Its been cloudy, a little wet and raw here. I'm wondering how long we'll be lucky and keep our temperatures in the 40's (Fahrenheit). Works been busy and the kids are already being crazy. Holiday vacation is still 3 weeks away!
AUGH!
Hope your week is going great!

Lovely 2nd on the 2nd pages, you worked hard with all those pictures and journaling. Have a fun day, weather here is grey and dismal but not raining today, so that's something! Hugs, Valerie
A wonderful idea and I love each single card -- such a lovely project- the full sheet pages are great as well and inspiring for me for the Collage theme at AJJ for December!
I agree with you that we don't want to make always the same.. it's a little bit boring - it's the same to me.
Thank you for the second look Erika - and keep calm at work -
kids are always crazy --at least my personal kid here in the house ....lol.
Hope your day was good!

Good idea to do a set of little artworks, there's something satisfying about your little squares in the first picture and if I have to choose a favourite, maybe the first one or the penguin? And love the last two larger pictures.
Enjoyed your second look and the creative way you made these window collages. They look like a nice way to remember special events, too!
I love your second look! What a wonderful way of recording the Christmas period! I remember the crazy days with kids at school -my son is finding out for the first time this year! Chrisx
Thanks for sharing this again.........I remembered it because of the hockey pictures...*grin*
Oh Erika, I love the way you documented your last December. The mini collages that fit inside a slide mount holder are BRILLIANT and a great way to use up old Christmas cards, too. Changing the size of the artwork adds even more interest. I can tell you LOVE Christmas.
I often "move on" to new ideas and concepts as my tastes and interests change. So I can understand your reluctance to create similar art again this year.
The Ugly Sweater party was a BUST. First, I don't have really ugly sweaters like some had. And second, I was TOLD (not asked) I was NOT allowed to put any photos on the internet of the party, the house I went to, or anything that might tie the people at the party in any way to their identities. But thanks for asking, since this whole two day affair was mostly photo free. However, I will share tomorrow what photos I DID take.
How very rude of me for forgetting to mention how nice it was to see you here. Thanks for joining Second on the 2nd, Erika. Your contribution was a joy to see.
What a fun project and a great way to display some smaller pieces of art. Thanks for bringing this one back
Fun, these tiny vignettes as a slice of life. xox
