Color!

Old news for many of you, but  my crocuses are finally blooming.
Its so exciting!

I've seen some early daffodils blooming around my world, but mine haven't blossomed yet. Yet the buds are getting very large with just a tinge of yellow so I know it will be soon.
So I have another page for Hazel's challenge over at Art Journal Journey.  This month its a Magical Mystery Tour, and I think this man (on my page) looks a little magical and very much a mystery, especially since he managed to put a butterfly on a leash.
I bought a package of Liquitex paint markers recently. I found them on a markdown table at 40% off so I thought I would try them, since I had never used a artist quality paint marker before. The tulips in the background are made with me playing with them. The gentleman is a TH image and I made the butterfly myself with some doodling, stamping and a little bit of paint.
Rain is due here today, but the week is flying right by. Its getting closer to my spring break. That's as exciting as the flowers starting to bloom.
Thanks for visiting, and have a wonderful day.

Oh yes, of course the crocuses blooming are exciting. I love seeing the Spring flowers. Your photographs are super.
What great tulips you've painted, they're so vibrant. I like the way you've added the man with his pet butterfly, it makes it a magical painting.

I so love your wonderful page... this is unique! Like in a magical fairytale and I like >>>him<<< as a fairy ...lol!
So well done - wow- and a super price for those markers! Well done to take them!

Coldness and snow , rain and wind here... but I am happy staying inside ,so that is no problem for me at all.
THANK YOU for such a FANTASTIC entry to Hazel's theme Erika!

I really like your piece, Erika. I love the colors, the butterfly on a leash and the guy you chose but mostly I like the words and thoughts behind it. And I am never tired of crocus!

Thanks for coming by this morning! I can't wait till my oil and vinegar have blended!

Gorgeous crocuses Erika!
They never get old and lucky you your parade of blooms is just beginning. We won't see crocus here in Virginia until next year again ;-)
I am going to miss playing along with Hazel's wonderful theme this month. I have a page in progress but time is running out for me.
Love the colors and details of what you've created here
WILD THING you make my heart sing... you make everything groovy...
HAH thanks for the earworm.
Happy Spring
Enjoy * Enjoy oxo

Your crocus are pretty. I am especially fond of the variegated purple. Himself had planted daffs last fall. Last week, buds were up and suddenly Monday a bunch of them had bloomed! Buds are on the swamp maples and allergy season is in full bloom.

Your colorful journal page made me smile. Does the man have the butterfly on the leash or does the butterfly have the leash on the man? Just a mysterious thought :-D Have a good day and count down to Spring Break!

Flowers.....sigh. Finally.

You have a very late spring break don't you? Here in Boston we are off this week.

OMGosh. You have created a fantastic page for AJJ. Capturing the butterfly was perfect, but the tulips were out of this world. I am really impressed with your drawing, painting, and shading. And aren't those TH die cuts easy to use? I don't think I have the same set as you, but I haven't really looked through mine yet.

Spring is spent in my area, but yours is truly starting to wake up just in time for your spring break. Lovely colors peeping out of the ground.

Your crocuses are beautiful. I especially love the purple ones. Love the humor, butterfly and color on your page. Do you think the Liquitex marker paints are worth it? I have never used them.

Your spring flowers were worth waiting for, they look beautiful.
Its a fabulous page with the tulips for the background and a super fun idea to have the butterfly on the lead.

What beautiful crosusses! So colorful! That made my day seeing those. Thank you.
I like your page and the butterfly leading the man made me smile...
Reading other comments, it could be interpreted the other way round, i.e. the man with a butterfly on the leash. Oh, well, food for psycologists.
Hugs,
Lisca
