Hi everyone. Big smiles here in New Hampshire because summer seems to have actually arrived.
Its about time!
Today I have another journal page for Rosie's fun challenge at Art Journal Journey. This month its all about CIRCLES!
My background is made with some rubbed Distressed Oxide inks and a bit of brown spray ink. Then I stamped lots of circle images. They reminded me of children, so I created this children's page. I looks a little bottom heavy in this photo, but it is what it is.
And look what came through my yard yesterday afternoon.
You can see mom, but can you see one of her chicks?
I had to shoot these through the window for fear the dogs would get out and hurt the babies thinking they were play toys.
She heard the dogs inside and made these low chipping noises to her little ones and walked off into the woods, babies following. They were so tiny some of them (because there were around 8 total) could fit between the pickets in the fence around the veggie garden.
Always something exciting.
Have a great day!

Love your page, great quote! And those chicks are so cute! x
A perfect page to pair with pictures of Mama turkey and her poults. I wonder what the future holds for the turkey babies?
Wow, Erica, your journal page is absolutely gorgeous.
You asked about the Lady with the butterfly - it is one stamp, it is from La Blanche.
Thank you for sharing at ART JOURNAL JOURNEY
Beautiful page and great quote, Erika
Wonderful journal page, very stylish. Great photos of your visiting turkeys, too. I visited a wonderful place with a friend today, with loads of animals, so you will be seeing photos in the next few days! Hugs, Valerie
Oh gosh, bird babies are so special and the big bird looks great too.
I wouldn't have known it is a turkey, it doesn't look like our turkeys.
I do like your (lots of) circles piece very much, and the quote and the children. You have such a wide range of art styles.
A wonderful imaginative page!
The turkey family is so sweet, only good, that she has gone to the forest with her chicks!
Happy weekend
Elke
Wow, you have used the Distressed Oxides so wonderfully to create that beautiful background and I love all the circle images you added - stunning! What type of bird is that on your lawn? Those little chicks are such cuties! Enjoy your week! J 😊
I've seen wild turkeys and turkeys with chicks in rural areas and in the woods but _never_ close to my house. How exciting! And what good shots you got :)
It is a wonderful page and the way you you left the space at the top. shows the background so well. I really liked the quote you added today.
The photos are great, a special moment with Mrs Turkey to showing her chicks around your garden.
