This post is a little photo heavy. If you aren't an animal person you might not enjoy these snapshots.
I was playing in my yard and garden yesterday. I've been wanting a zoom lens for my camera for a long time time and I finally broke down and bought one this past week.
I am really happy with it.
I'm still in learning mode.
Good thing its June and there are lots of critters to take photos of. If I keep at it I will see many other visitors to my garden also.
Hope you are having a wonderful weekend.

Stunning beauties captured brilliantly. That last one must feel like spiderman or something:)
Thanks for sharing and nice weekend!
Oooooooh how I LOVE these photos, just wonderful. Welcome to the wonderful world of zoom, but be careful, it gets addictive! I would so love to have hummers here. Thanks for sharing the lovely visitors in your garden, have fun with the new lens! Hugs, Valerie
Your photos, WOW! Like flipping through National Geographic. Love the chipmunk. Looks like he posed for you.
Those pictures are amazing, especially the bee and hummingbird. I am using my phone as my camera which I love the ease of. I love the idea of a camera with a zoom lens though. I think I would need a class though...still trying to figure out what my camera/phone can do. Thanks for sharing. Have a photo filled weekend.😎
Wow, stunning close up photos of your garden visitors. I can see why you are thrilled with the results from your new camera lens.

so glad you bought that lens and showed us these fantastic photos Erika - oh wow!... aren't they fantastic photos...
I especially love the Hummingbirds, you are soooo lucky to see those :)
Looking forward to seeing more of your photos.. have a great weekend..

I'd love to see goldfinches, but they never stop by my place on their way through. We get a kick out of our chipmunk antics lol.
You got great shots! So clear! I never get good motion photos, so I appreciate your art here :)
Loved this! Great photos especially of the hummers-which I always have a difficult time getting into the photos--
Your snapshots are simply AMAZING Erika! Thank you for sharing!
Happy Sunday!
Wow! Love them! These are difficult shots to get, too. :)
That is one incredible lens. You may say you are still in learning mode, but these are truly incredible shots. The hummingbirds especially thrilled me, because they are a blur most of the time.
Now you'll be getting lots of filters, a fish eye, and a 2X lens to add to this zoom (grin). Guess I've given you some ideas, at least.
Wow! Great photos! I bet you are chuffed (sorry, that means pleased)with your new lense.
I recognised hummingbirds and what looks like a squirrel with stripes. We don't have hummingbirds here and I have never seen one in real life. So it was lovely to see them 'hum' away.
Hugs,
Lisca
Chippies, goldfinches and hummers, a nuthatch and some other wonderful shots. The critters are out in full force. Hope you have some air conditioning somewhere in the house....talk about a blast into summer. xox
You not only have a fabulous camera, you have a great eye and you know how to use it. Those bird photos are amazing. I've never been able to get a hummingbird and birds in flight are really tough. They're beautiful too, aren't they? Oh, what a great photo shoot. Your chippie is pretty cute, too!
