Road Tripper Part 3 and Art

I'll start again today with some art. I have a page for Rosie's circle theme at Art Journal Journey.
We have a saying here in the US (and maybe this phrase is used elsewhere too) that goes, "What goes around, comes around."
So I used that saying as the start for my circle page. I added to it some die cuts, punched and painted circles, some doodling, and a few stickers too. I love that I had some circle letter stickers.
So today was Sunday and it started off as a gorgeous day. Now the clouds have come back and they are saying rain and colder temperatures for the next 2 days-again. But I have a few more photos from my road trip to Maine last week. It was a day when the sun was mostly out, although we did get a little bit of a shower in the afternoon.
South of Rockland I decided to take a little detour out to Pemaquid Point. I had never been there and wanted to see what it was like.
There was a lighthouse there.
We climbed the lighthouse and I took this photo of the ocean through the glass light at the top.
And this window was near the top.
The stairs were pretty narrow and winding. It might have been tough to go up them on a dark night carrying an oil lamp.
This sign was on the fence around the lighthouse.

This was the little shed where they stored the oil for the lantern at the top of the lighthouse.
I liked this view in one of the little gardens around the lighthouse.

It was a nice little stop on our way home.
So my new week starts off by heading into Boston in the morning as my husband has a check up with his surgeon.  We need to leave at 4:30 in the morning so we can be there for 7. Its going to be a busy start.
Hope you don't have to rush off quite so early in the morning and have a good start to your week too.

You are probably waking about now, and I am headed for bed soon. I hope the check-up goes well.

Your AJJ entry is darling, and I like that you used circles within circles. It's a great entry.

I was really impressed with the lighthouse. I would love to know more about them, since they are obviously nowhere near me. The photo from the glass light at the top was incredible and that sign was really scary. Lots of rocks and cliffs you don't find in my part of the country.

So glad you shared this lighthouse adventure with us because I had NO idea what they were like inside, only outside.

That IS an early start. I hope all goes well for him.

Looks like a fun trip -- and you must be feeling good to make it up that windy staircase! I love the way those look and hate walking up them. It's beautiful territory and I can tell you had a wonderful time!

What a wonderful trip! There was so much variety in the museum, both inside and out, and I always appreciate a variety :) I've enjoyed the few lighthouses I've seen, but my ocean trips can be counted on one hand. I'd love to live closer. Thx for the great photos! It was a virtual vacation :)

I've often thought I'd like to have a studio in a lighthouse. No light. just that open area at the top with 360 views of the ocean with natural light. It's just a pipe dream and doesn't have to make sense. The dump duck on top of the chimney made me laugh. He certainly has the best view. Pemaquid is certainly a beautiful area. Hope your commute to Boston was smooth. Just heard the weather report: The sun will come out on Thursday! And it looks like a sunny and hot weekend!

I do like all your circles, they all go together with the appropriate circular words.
Thanks for the lighthouse trip - I've never been on a lighthouse - till now! The circular staircase does look a bit precarious.

We use that saying you added to your page as well here in the UK. It was a fantastic bright page.
The photos from your visit to the lighthouse looked great, although I would have to give those stairs a miss. I may have got up up going down would have caused problems for me. The views of the ocean looked stunning.
Hope you get safely back home from your early start tomorrow.
