Happy weekend everyone. Hope everyone is enjoying theirs. I am glad to have a couple of down days since this past week was a  long one for me.
Last Sunday I had some arty time in the morning, before all my art inspiration went astray. When I get a good art groove going I always try to leave a few unfinished pages so when I sit down the next time I have something to get me started. This past week I looked at at these partially done pieces and drew a blank. But then the other night I tried again and even though I had no ideas, I just grabbed a couple of stamp sets and did some stamping and then a little coloring. My mojo started to get rolling, and I created this. But then when I went to the next page, my mojo rolled out the door and when I tried the same technique I just made a mess. That will be a paint over page for sure.
But I will share this page with you and a link up over at Art Journal Journey.  Rike's fun theme is Animals A-Z.
I am hoping to get some mojo this weekend. I guess my brain is fiddle-footed right now.  (I am getting a word of the day from sent to my email this year in an attempt to learn some new words and to refresh my long forgotten vocabulary. Today's word is fiddle-footed.  I think it is a cool sounding and means to restlessly wander. It certainly applies to my muse right now.)
Hope everyone enjoys their weekend.

This page is just so vibrant - super-- THANK YOU VERY MUCH for linking this striking page to AJJ ♥♥♥ I love the word fiddle - footed.
I am often fiddle-footed I guess - this is the reason I have so many unfinished projects lying around.
Let your muse enjoy her vacation ... and don't expect too much of her- she were so busy last month and needs a breathing pause!
Happy weekend Erika! Enjoy it!

Well your muse wasn't fiddle-footed when it made this fabulous entry. I think MINE has gone into hiding and I am working rote about now. Not so with your art, which is lively, colorful, and full of energy. I'm thrilled that you shared it with us at Art Journal Journey today, dear. Have a super weekend and stay warm. No snow here, but bitter cold and my heat can't keep up.

Butterflies are a delightful sight now as I look out at the dreary rain. Fiddle-footed is a great word. That sounds like a fun word-a-day mailing :)

Well your Muse certainly did well before she left again. This is just beautiful, the reds and the pinks really come over as do the gold stars and I love the butterfly silhouettes. I think your Muse deserves a day off after helping you to make this.

The black butterflies look stunning against the red background Erika.
Sometimes it is just a good idea to start playing around with inks and stamps and go with the flow.
I like that word you shared today, I've not heard that before.... fiddle-footed could for sure be Mr Mojo when he goes missing.

Love the butterflies silhouetted against the colorful page. I bet your other page was just fine. Just that you are too critical of your own work. Love the word of the day. Reminds me of twitter-pated from Bambi. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Erika, I'm sure it happens to all of us, especially when we are super busy with non arty things, hopefully this weekend will bring you some respite and new inspirations, great Idea to keep started pages for a future occasion and it certainly has worked for this wonderful vibrant butterfly page!

Your page is stunning! Your red background looks amazing and I love the pretty butterflies - beautiful 😁. White gesso is my best friend when pages aren't to my liking 😉. I also sometimes leave pages and then go back to them when I feel inspired, sometimes months later 😉. Have a wonderful week! J 😊
