A Little Green Would Be Nice

Happy end of the weekend everyone. I woke up this morning to a little dusting of snow. We still have a lot of snow on the ground anyhow, and I am longing for some green . A saying we have (and maybe you do too) is that March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb. I guess March might never be a lamb this year...or maybe it will in the later in the week. We shall see. here in my part of New Hampshire it certainly doesn't feel like April is only a week away.
Here's a page from my nature journal. It started out around St. Patrick's Day in mid-March and has since morphed into this spring page about green.
I began by attaching a complete die cut of clover to the middle of the page. Then I die cut the clover-colored and added it. The letters in the word spring began as a collaged piece of paper.
Now I have this sheet to cut out letters and shapes from. I cut out the spring letters from this and attached them to my page, and gave them a little rub with some light green glitter glue.
I stamped the quote several times, added a piece of printed acetate I had and added some flat metal screw bits  to the corners.
I think this journal page looks more like a card front, but it is a journal page.
And maybe a few more flowers to brighten your day as much as they do my day. Here's a few more photos from the bulb show.

Off to a wedding shower that's 2 hours away this morning.  Luckily the daughter said we could taker her car! That makes me smile.
Happy rest of your weekend.

This is a lovely and cheery page, and I hope it magics the spring for you. We had a trip out yesterday with wonderful weather, warm and sunny, the daffodils were flowering everywhere, what a treat! We even had our coffee outside - a wonder! Have a great Sunday, hugs, Valerie

The photos of the bulb show are simply AMAZING and so is your beautiful spring page - and wow to have these fabulous collaged scrap paper now for some nice additions for other work. The spring letters look just fantastic! We have some sun this Sunday - it's still cold, but in the sun without wind we had a nice walk through our woods and I even had a coffee on the porch in the sun already even though it is still cold and no other flowers are blooming than the snow drops. But I think the next week we will get more sun,we will see. I send spring directly onto the way to New Hampshire - I admit- in case it comes to us!
Happy Sunday my friend and THANK YOU VERY MUCH for another fabulous spring page linked to Rosie's theme.
Lucky Rosie is just now in Naples and Sorrento after staying in Rome for some days - but she let me know that it is not the warm weather there as expected.
You will be soon in Japan, am I right?! You will enjoy it - I am sure! I am a bit jealous ...yes!

We had a dusting of snow last night and a few squalls moving through the area. Seeing a little green doesn't seem like to much to ask. Your green page is so cheery. I like your collaged letters and the green glitter. The flowers from the bulb show are real show stoppers. Just gorgeous. Warmer weather is on the way this week. (I hope!) Enjoy your Sunday.

What a great way to finish a page. I love how it morphed from St. Patty's Day to Spring. Great save and a wonderful entry for us at Art Journal Journey, too.

I think the only tulips and daffodils I will see this spring are on your blog. LOVE the photos.

Have fun with your daughter today.

You may have snow outside but those flower bulb show photos are a real breath of spring -- far more than here, though the grass is green! I love them.

Really enjoyed your page. I've done that mixed up paper thing before but never used it for lettering -- mostly things like circles and hearts. I've done it by glueing my deli gellis to freezer paper which gives it a lot of strength. What's your substrate for that? It looks good!

Maybe your focus on green will bring you Spring soon. I know having the bulb show to look back on is a reminder that spring will come even when the snow makes you think it never will.

I am fascinated by your collaged sheet that you cut the letters from, how very clever. I might not have wanted to cut up the sheet as it looks quite a work of art in itself. Your green Spring picture is very attractive with all the clovers.
I love your header. Maybe it has been that way all March?
The photos of the Spring flowers are so heartening. That must have been a great colourful show.
